Dr. Ann Marie Windle Taylor, MD

Dr. Taylor saw me for five years and went above and beyond to help me. I would recommend her to anyone!

Outstanding psychiatrists, very knowledgable and effective

Dr. Taylor runs her own practice, and has no oversight over her business. She is very rude unprofessional and you can get better treatment from a therapist. Dr. Taylor hates men especially single divorced fathers. She will not listen to a word you say about your child. She will tellbyouvtibshuy up. She just wants your money. I presented facts in a case of child abuse and she did not care. DR. Taylor asked me how my bipolar was and I am not even her patient or have bipolar. I asked her what is my son's diagnosis and what is he being treated for and she will not give me the diagnosis or why my sons needs to see her. Unfortunately she was chosen by my wife's attorney for my divorce to shape custody for my wife. Lucky for me, Dr. Taylor's recommendation will not determine the outcome of my custody. I will be removing Dr. Taylor got my new custody orders and find a very well respected child psychiatrist to repair the emotional damage and alienation she did to me and my son!

I've been seeing Dr. Taylor for almost a decade now (started seeing her at 16, almost 26 now). I've never seen any other doctor for this kind of thing, but I can say that Dr. Taylor has changed my life. I was diagnosed with Depression, anxiety when I was 16, and a year later ADD. I was incredibly depressed since I was probably 12, and told my mom once I entered high school how miserably I was. Initially thought of as just teenage hormones, I went to my school councilor who confirmed what I had been thinking and my mom decided to take me to Dr. Taylor. I've tried a number of medications over the past decade, I've been on Cymbalta, Prozac, Adderall, Vyvanse, and two others that I can't think of the name of, but now I am on Pristiq and Deplin. I have always liked Dr. Taylor, and I've never had any issue with her staff, I do sometimes have a little difficulty setting up appointments, but that's only because I am now an adult (she still see me because I've been seeing her for so many years… and she is qualified to work with adults), and so I have some trouble scheduling only because I work 8-5pm. But she's always willing to work with my schedule which I appreciate. I love her staff and think they are incredibly nice and have never had an issue with them. Some of these reviews I read talked about how she's rude or whatever, and I think that's personally just not a good mixing of personalities. Not every doctor is going to work out for every person. But for me, I have always thought Dr. Taylor has been very kind to me and has really cared about my well being. She gives you some tough love sometimes, and sometimes you don't want to hear things (this was especially hard in my teen years), but she's always been right. After all the years of trying different medications and them not working out, Dr. Taylor finally tried a test on me called the GeneSight test (which was not available at an affordable price when I was younger) and that's how we got my medication and also discovered I have a genetic mutation called MTHFR. Ever since going on the Pristiq and Deplin (for the MTHFR) my life has been really fantastic. I am a happy, stable, supportive, well adjusted, and content adult, which I never thought I would become, and honestly I credit most of that to Dr. Taylor. With out her help I don't think I would be where I am today. Honestly, I'd probably still be having anxiety attacks on the bathroom floor of my old job. Doctor Taylor is incredible and I HIGHLY recommend her.

I saw Ann Taylor when I was about nine. I am now 23. I was having problems in school and was craving for attention from my mother and adjusting to the new life I had when my parents got divorced and chose new partners. I started telling lies to get my mother's attention off her new boyfriend. I was having nightmares and I was being bullied at school. I was taken to see Taylor in which time she prescribed lithium to me after a short time with me. Then came Prozac. In the midst of all the chemicals that were unjustifiably prescribed I threatened my bully from school; telling him I would beat him up. Not going to happen, he was a boy and I was girl much smaller than. After I got in trouble at school Taylor thought it appropriate to toss me into a metal institution. After a week in a really traumatizing situation it was clear I did not belong there. This woman diagnosed me as bipolar and prescribed a heavy metal to a nine year old girl who was just having problems adjusting with a… new set of adults and a bully at school. I am now 23, married, on no medication, and have a beautiful son while living on the east coast. This woman is a quake. I never refer to her as a doctor and her name is still mentioned in my household as "That Ann Taylor." I looked up her name today to see other reviews and I'm not surprised. I am surprised however that she is still practicing. And I would just like to mention that her diagnosis is now laughable and I have absolutely no sign of any mental illness. A Former Patient

I have been extremely pleased with Dr. Taylor as has been my friend that takes her son to Dr. Taylor's office. She is knowledgeable and kind and works well with children and youth. She takes time to listen and also talks to me intellectually when I need to understand what is going on. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a child or adolescence psychiatrist. She was also willing to make changes when necessary and didn't just throw medication at a patient when it might not be necessary.

I had this doctor for a couple months. She would change my meds literally every week if I hadn't felt any changes (it's well known that meds can take months to take full effect!). She was very rude, and more than once made me cry because of her insensitive remarks. Her "staff" is her children, who are apathetic and disrespectful.
