Dr. Barnes was chronically late for appointments, appeared very distracted during the appointments and was more focused on herself. She was not helpful at all.

Dr. Barnes has been a wonderful counselor and dietitian for me. She's typically within 5 minutes of our appointment time and has been available for emergency issues. I highly recommend her!

Didn't listen to anything I said when we were meeting each other. Wanted to do first session over Skype and she argued with me about don't doing an in person video, which I was not comfortable with did to covid. Condescending off the block. Avoid if you can.

Dr. Barnes is the very best. She broke through to the (second) most stubborn person in the world and saved my life with perseverance and persistence. I have remained clean every since. It appears that all the above comments are from the same person. Such a shame.

Dr. Barnes helped me with a very traumatic experience with my daughter. She is a nurturing and knowledgable therapist. She really helped my family get through a rough time.

I saw Dr. Barnes for a few weeks and was very disappointed. First of all, I had to wait 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment and she did not even make an attempt to apologize for her tardiness. A week later, I was 15 minutes late for my appointment and she made sure she deducted that 15 minutes of my treatment. However, I overheard her telling another patient "Don't worry about being late, you'll still get your full session." Also I missed one session and was charged (I had a family emergency). Again she told another patient that if he misses, he would not be charged. She appears to play favorites. During her counseling, she totally missed why I was there and what I needed help with. She had her own agenda and was very judgemental. Overall I would not recommend Dr. Barnes at all.

I had a very difficult time with Dr. Barnes. She lacked empathy and tended to be very judgmental. After 3 sessions, she misdiagnosed me, who led to a series of horrible problems for my family and myself. I went to Dr. Barnes to grieve the loss of my mother. Dr. Barnes never asked me my goals for therapy and we never discussed my mother. I felt Dr. Barnes was creating problems for me just to keep me coming to make money from my insurance. I ended up seeing a psychiatrist who worked with me to undue the damage of Dr. Barnes.

Dr. Barnes should have her license revoked. She has done more harm to my 14 year old daughter than anyone. The psychological scars my daughter now has taken years to repair.

I sought help from Barnes & Klatt and completed only two sessions at which point I decided that the available appointment times wouldn't work with my work schedule. I also felt that I did not have a good fit with the doctor. The dynamic between a doctor and patient is very personal, and it is totally reasonable to decide you want to pursue a different doctor. After leaving a voicemail expressing that scheduling conflicts would prevent me from future sessions, I received a harshly worded letter from the doctor. In this letter I was diagnosed with "severe" conditions that I do not feel two sessions could possibly have allowed for. The initial appointment was a lot of initial "get to know you" type dialogue. To be diagnosed in this manner felt extremely premature. I was also insulted by the doctor, specifically referred to as "ambivalent about receiving treatment for my severe conditions". I found this choice of words unkind and unethical. During our second and final session the… doctor also called me by the wrong name, but I chose not to correct her since I wasn't sure we'd ever work together again. I did not have a positive experience and would not recommend their services to anyone in need. The letter I received almost a month after our final session was the catalyst for me to provide this review. Had we simply parted ways I might not have felt compelled to post this feedback.

Very judgemental. She offered very poor advice for my son.
