Dr. Anne Yijiun Lin, MD

We went to Dr. Anne Lin for a second opinion for my husband who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. her review was through, she asked about critical items not brought up by another physician. She took her time and made recommendations that we will follow.

The day before I was going to leave to waterski I was advised that my colon was perforated. The journey of two surgeries and an interim ostomy bag can be challenging. The quality and compassionate care I received from Dr. Lin was personal. professional and extraordinary, Dr. Lin is excellent.

We came to Dr Lin after my husband had terrible health care administered in our community 2hrs north of Los Angeles. My husband was treated for a perforated colon, ( on an emergency basis) by a pulmonologist, unbeknownst to us, consequently we ended up in the emergency room at UCLA. Once he was admitted and his medical needs were met and resolved we returned to UCLA for several appointments with Dr Lin. We have NEVER experienced a more attentive, dedicated, caring and professional doctor than Dr. Lin. My husband was reluctant to have the recommended surgery, it took a year, a few more painful episodes and another visit to the emergency room before he was convinced. Through that time Dr. Lin, unsolicited, called several times to check in to see how things were going, definitely unexpected but so very much appreciated. Dr Lin performed the colon resection surgery he needed 3 weeks ago, she was at the hospital to check on him twice a day almost everyday of his five day stay. He is doing… extremely well and we will forever be grateful to Dr. Lin and Sara, her very accomplished and exceptional Nurse.

I developed a pretty complex issue and started off with two other surgeons. The first recommended a specialist. The specialist treated me for 8 months before I found Dr. Lin. Over the next few years, Dr. Lin proved herself to be a great doctor but also became a friend. Because of the hospital, there are a lot of things people complain about that are not solely related to Dr. Lin and reflect more upon UCLA. However, Dr. Lin not only took the time to listen to me, she also went out of her way to make sure I could contact her by email and would find a way to get me in for an appointment the same day when I was in trouble. She brought in other specialists and even performed my surgeries with a second attending just to make sure we took every precaution to resolve my health concerns. It still took some time but Dr. Lin saw it through until the end and I am forever in her debt for giving me my life back.

Be ready to pay $1775 only office consultation charges before any exam or tests, on top of that another $1150 charges from UCLA hospital, because her office is located in UCLA hospital campus. After all she had to send us to the specialist, because she wasn’t able to help.

Try getting in touch with her . Her front desk is awful . You get a call back between 5-9 days . useless . I got told come in whenever for a botox touch up for an anal fissure . No chance . This is the only Dr on my UCLA portal with no e mail or phone contact . awful service

My experience with Dr. Lin could not have been better. She was completely clear about my procedure (colon resection,) the risks and consequences and compassionate and exceptionally accommodating with her schedule. My surgery could not have gone better and my recovery has been pain free and surprisingly fast, which I attribute to her surgical skills. Dr. Lin has been thorough in following up and understanding throughout the entire process. I recommend her without reservation.

She damaged my pudendal, phrenic and vagus nerves leaving me disabled from my employment. A surgery tech. She's late to every appointment and could CARELESS about health CARE! RUN...

You know to have to put in any kind of star for her would just be wrong!. I’ve had a colostomy done by this women a year ago, & still to this day I’m having nothing but problems!. I’m not new to the ostomy world, this is my second ostomy & this is for life!. So as she tells myself & my family, that she didn’t have the time in surgery to make this more substances to live with, she just did not want to take the time for the well-being of the patient!. So I am facing another colorectal surgery AGAIN!, because she didn’t want to take the time to make it right!. So whomever out there is also facing something like this with her I would seriously rethink your other surgeons

After she prescribed the the right treatment at first she did not listen to other concerns. She kept me on a cream that should have been used 8 weeks for 20 weeks. Was very rough in her exam.
