Dr. Anne M Nickodem, MD

Though on paper she is a renowned doctor who had attained great success and recognition in her field. However, behind her impressive credentials and accomplishments, there lay a flaw that was easily noticeable – a distinct lack of empathy and professionalism. This doctor seemed to lack the ability to connect on a compassionate level, leaving me feeling misunderstood and neglected during my of need and excruciating pain with no medication at hand. She treated me with a condescending attitude, belittling me and dismissing my concerns without providing the care and support I deserved. Her behavior left me feeling unheard and invalidated, as my worries and anxieties were brushed aside. Her callousness was evident in her actions, as she prioritized her own ego and reputation over the well-being of those seeking her expertise. She seemed to relish in enforcing her authority and making me feel inferior, rather than nurturing a trusting and collaborative doctor-patient… relationship. However, amidst this bleak picture, it is important to remember that not all doctors are the same. While this particular doctor may have exuded mean and callous behavior, the medical profession is filled with countless caring and empathetic professionals. It is crucial to seek out doctors who display compassion, understanding, and professionalism. Taking the time to research doctors, read reviews, and seek recommendations can help you find a practitioners who will truly provide you with the support you need during their medical journeys. Stay away from her, she is unhinged.

This Dr. does NOT have basic human emotions. She talked down to me and insulted me for being over weight. She did a messed up procedure on me that resulted in my body looking like crap and she blamed me for being overweight. DO NOT USE this Dr. Stay away from her private practice and all the other places she uses just to make money, especially sono bello. If I could rate her lower, I would.

She doesn't like people that are overweight. Her beside manner is seriously lacking. He office staff in NoVa is shoved in a little corner of another Doctors office and they don't seem to really have it together. I was promised a date by the doctor and the staff said for me to call back in a couple of weeks to set it up. When I called back the date was no longer available. I wanted to have my last surgery before the end of the year so I wouldn't have to pay another deductible. They finally found a spot just before Christmas. My reconstruction is not what I expected but that might be the best I can get after cancer. I felt like she did what she wanted and didn't really care what I had to say. I would look for someone that seems to care about her patients.

Overheard her yelling at her staff and bedside manner a bit harsh. Makes no effort at follow-up.

If you are looking for a good bedside manner move along. I believe she knows her stuff but she doesn't explain things well and seems to important to worry about it.

While my experience with Dr. Nickodem happened a couple of years ago, it took me this long to be able to share due to the emotional distress I experienced at the hands of this doctor. I do feel it is imperative to hear my experience before you consider using this doctor. I underwent a breast lift and augmentation with Dr. Nickodem. Very quickly, I realized that there was a real problem. I had what was called lateral displacement, which occurs when the breast pocket is made too big laterally. My breasts literally hung off my sides and in my armpits. I had several consultations with plastic surgeons who all confirmed this and informed me that I needed a revision. I have now undergone two very costly and painful revisions by a different doctor who sadly informed me that he would never be able to fully correct my situation due to the damage done by the initial operation. Additionally, I received fillers under my eyes by Dr. Nickodem. The result was 2 huge blue bulges under my eyes. … She attempted to extract the filler, which left my eye area so swollen that she had to prescribe a course of steroids. I consulted with a well -regarded dermatologist, who attempted to dissolve the filler over a period of several weeks. While my appearance was improved, it took several months for me to look like myself again, not to mention the expense incurred. These experiences took a huge financial and emotional toll on me and I need others to hear my experience before using this doctor.

My experiences with Dr. Nickodem have been very positive. They have all been on the Asthetic side. I have been to her several times for Botox and fillers as did my husband. Recently, I had a Cool Sculpting treatment for my belly. In 1986 I had a tummy tuck and recently needed a touch up. It immediately showed results. It takes three months to reach the potential but each day there is a difference. It's nice to wear a size less in jeans and look "perfect" in knits. I highly recommend Dr. Nickodem. She also doesn't believe in pain so goes to great lengths for everything to be painless.
