Dr. Anne S Devi-Wold, MD

Dr. Anne Wold has terrible bedside manner and is extremely short-tempered and rude. She did not make me feel safe or comfortable in her care. PureObGyn is doing a disservice by having her.

Saw Dr. Wold today for the first time. I was nervous at the beginning, as this Specialty is very personal for us women and it requires a good Doctor/Patient connection. Dr. Wold came in with such positive and caring demeanor. She made me feel comfortable at once. Very gentle during examination.Took the time to explain things to me. Very knowledgeable and a good listener. I left there feeling at ease, knowing that I am in good hands. Thank you Dr. Wold.

I saw Dr. Wold for the first time today. I’m 36 & for years have hesitanted to see a gyno (1) majority of the gyno’s have awful bedside manners (2) at 36, still a virgin so don’t see what was so urgent, but my primary doc kept insisting to see a gyno, especially because I have quiet a few lumps in my breasts. Recently had a biopsy. also had another biopsy back in 2016. Had a surgery for a benign tumor in 2007. Doc walks into the office, didn’t even bother logging into the computer to see my chart or to write anything (the entire time). She sat by the chair close to the door - she sat at the edge, ready to walk out anytime. The very first question she asked me was ‘where are you from?’ I said Pakistan/muslim. Not married, no man in the picture and still a virgin. That’s all I had to say to trigger her rude tone (racist/nationalist? towards your own people). She disregarded all of my concerns (breast pain/mensuration - kept saying everything is normal - also said my primary doctor and… nyu breast cancer center doctors don’t know what they are doing. She started putting pressure that I get these shots done in case I decide to have sex to protect me from disease. There is no man in the picture - why am I being suggested this at this point? She barely examined my breasts and said there are no lumps - again accusing that my doctors at the nyu breast center don’t know what they are doing/or they are lying (I get ultrasounds and mammograms done every six month) I can feel all the lumps myself. She goes on saying if I’m going to get the papsmear and I asked if she cab explain the process to me and what issues I might run into? & will it hurt - she goes yes it’ll hurt, depends on the person, what do you want me to explain to you? Yes there is a possibility that the hymn will break. I said I don’t want to get the test then, she annoyingly put the tool down. Said I don’t need to see her, I should see a breast surgeon. The entire time her tone came across, rude, accusing, questioning stuff that she really should be asking my other docs, or hey if you just took the time to open up my chart and study it. I will never see her again. If this is the best gyno, I can’t imagine what is considered worst?

Dr. Wold is kind, caring, and treats you from an empowered informed lens. She is an excellent physician who is clearly an expert! The best!!

Dr. Wold is an absolute treasure... in all the ways an ideal doctor should be, she is. Crazy intelligent, exceptionally experienced, thorough in every aspect while never losing the bigger picture, gentle, caring, sweet, personable and inviting, and she made sure there were never any hiccups with my insurance coverage, not her job but she made everything so easy, transparent and understood. She's the kind of doctor that when you meet her, you don't have to fight for yourself to be heard or worry that you'll forget to tell them something or that you should have asked for 12 months of an RX instead of the default 1 or 3 months. Anything in your best interest has been done or discussed and if you think you need her, she's accessible. Proactive Expert. There's nothing to worry about. I've never had a doctor like her before. She's absolutely brilliant, just flawless, and a total total treasure. I can't say it enough. I am fortunate to have found her and so grateful for her skilled work.

Dr Wold treats her patients with great compassion and care. She is very supportive and is an expert in the field. She was able to identify my ectopic very early on and took steps to eliminate the risk. She is very attentive and replies back to the phone calls very promptly. I am very happy that I finally got pregnant and was able to hear the baby’s heart beat while I was still under her care in Cranston. I recommend her very strongly to women who are looking to grow their families.

If you’re looking for a great reproductive endocrinologist, stop. She’s it. She cares about the mind, body, and spirit of the patient, goes above and beyond and has great patient outcomes. Mine is turning ten this year! She’s also super supportive and knowledgeable about PCOS. I love her! ??

Dr. Wold is by far the best Doctor I have seen! She is patient, caring, and genuinely concerned about the overall wellbeing of her patients. She carefully listened to all of my concerns and worked with me on finding a treatment that was best for me. Dr. Wold changed my life and I am will forever be grateful for caring nature, her constructive advice, and overall support! I recommend her to all, especially to those with PCOS and struggling to conceive.
