This doctor was extremely genuine and respectful. Fully listens to what the patient has to say, almost as she is in your shoes. I'd recomend her and wound love to have her again as a doctor. Thank you for making me feel loved and at ease during my visit. Thank you again.

Dr. Utz, thank you for your compassionate care. I came into the ER with what we now know is COVID. I felt awful and had a hard time breathing. Dr. Utz wanted to keep me in the hospital. The hospital doctor wanted to send me home. Dr. Utz stood up for me and convinced the hospital doctor that I needed to stay. I ended up getting really sick and was in the hospital for a long time. Thank you for standing up for me, Dr. Utz. You made a big difference in my life. My family and I are very thankful. Also, thank you to all the staff on the front lines of this virus. It is very scary. You are all so brave! Bless you all!

After putting up with the problem for a week, I recently went to the ER for a badly swollen and sore knee. I avoided going to the ER sooner due to the possibility of coming into contact with other patients there who might have COVID-19. Once I signed in and got through the initial screening by the nursing staff, I saw Dr. Utz. Her outfit was like you see on TV – mask, googles and face shield. I was confident that she was well prepared to take care of herself with the virus issue and my problem, without passing on the COVID-19 problem to me. She was very thorough in her evaluation of my knee which included an exam, many good follow-up questions on how and when it started. She also ordered an X-ray of the sore knee. Her competent and friendly manner made me feel more at ease. I was glad that I went to the ER. The problem was identified as an inflamed ligament in the knee, which she took the time to explain to me. The cause of the inflammation is unknown, but I am confident that… the knee will get better with the medication ordered and treatment recommended by the doctor. I am very pleased with the help I received from the ER staff, especially the doctor. She did a great job of diagnosing the problem, keeping me informed, coordinating with the X-ray department and making the entire process far less stressful than it could have been. My thanks to Dr. Utz for a job very well done!

Extremely slow at treatment! I was at the hospital for 7 hours, it took 2 just to get nausea medicine. She was extremely sarcastic and disrespectful, not only to my face but when speaking to another doctor about my care. She did nothing to treat my symptoms. When I expressed my feelings to the other health care providers, they also agreed she’s a terrible provider and they apologized for her lack of care during my time at the emergency room. Positive for other patients that have to encounter her, she runs a lot of tests. I think this is good for most but when I tried to explain that just a few months ago I went from perfect test results and vitals to septic in less than a day. Hence her sarcasm and “all your tests that don’t take a few days are normal” Ohh and go home you might have covid-19 it only harms older people. I completely understand reasonably sending someone home to rest but after I had told her my medical history and I have two young children and two elderly parents home,… her response was to stay away from them. I don’t think it was a not rational reason to send me home if I were in her shoes. However, her approach, and lack of treatments for my symptoms proves that my pain and discomfort that brought me to the hospital in the first place was not acknowledged. The lack of understanding my point of view, concerning that the patient knows when something is not right. She used labs as her backbone, a decent provider takes the patients past medical history and current symptoms into account along with lab findings to decide treatment. I think she could be a decent provider if she listened to her patients more, toned her snarky attitude down and didn’t take so long to show her patients care.

I Seen Dr Utz @ the free standing ER in Lees Hill on Tuesday May 28th after an incident at home in the evening, where I required a minor surgery in which she took wonderful care of me was very informative about what she was going to do/ was doing, made sure I was comfortable at all times and not in pain, was asked to follow up with a foot specialist 2 days later as a pre caution due to the fact that I am taking Chemo and in blood thinners, upon seeing the foot dr on Thursday may 30, 2019 she told me that Dr Utz did a fabulous job one of the better that she has ever seen...Thanks Dr Utz for your caring, compassionate bed side manner and your fabulous job, I really appreciate you!!

Dr. Utz is an excellent physician. She is highly competent, thorough and communicates clearly. Despite the fast-paced environment of an emergency room, she still makes time to listen to her patients. Though this undoubtedly assists her in effectively treating patients' maladies, it also shows a welcome level of compassion and empathy for people who often present in their most shaken and vulnerable states. Besides her smarts and excellent bed side manner, Dr. Utz manages her ER team with the utmost professionalism and respect. If you find yourself in the ER with Dr. Utz at the helm, please take solace in knowing that your care will be top notch under any set of criteria.
