Dr. Annette Maffei, MD

Dr. Maffei has been my doctor for over 27 years now, since she delivered my second son. I have developed a wonderful relationship with her. She takes the time to talk to you at your appointment about your general health and your personal life. She asks about my two boys all the time. They are 29 and 27 now. She is kind, caring and compassionate. When my husband passed away in 2010, I had my yearly appointment with her soon there after and she came out to the waiting room herself to get me and put her arms around me, hugged me and ushered me into the exam room. Dr. Maffei has faced several gynelogical issues with me and follows up with me with test results as soon as she receives them, either herself or by having one of the nurses call me. Dr. Maffei knows her stuff! I have referred several of my friends to Dr. Maffei over the years and they all loved her right from the start. Her office staff in Tarrytown (where I usually go), Mt. Kisco and Yorktown (I have been to all of… her offices) has always been very helpful and kind as well!! I keep telling her that she can't retire because I don't know what I would do without her!!! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Maffei!!! She is the absolute best!!! Love her!!!

I have been trying to get in touch with Dr. Maffei to discuss test results and a possible problem. NOBODY EVER answers a phone, and messages are completely ignored. It's like not having a doctor. Stay far away. I'm changing practices!

No one answers the phones at any of her locations. Trying to get medication refilled and the office is not returning my calls or the pharmacy calls for a week now. Very frustrating. Also delayed in getting test results due to this issue. I will not return to this doctor due to the horrible service by her office.

Mind boggled this woman has so many stars. She traumatized me at the age of 17 (I'm just starting to trust and go to my new gyno now at the age of 22) and she also fat shamed my poor mother multiple times extremely rudely rather than focus on the purpose of the appointment. I would highly recommend picking a different doctor not sure how she still has patients. Very nasty and judgmental woman.

Dr. Maffei missed my very obvious breast cancer for at least three years when I had nipple retraction and flattening. There was no lump as I had glandular cancer which is found in a small percentage of women. I discussed the situation repeatedly with her, but mammos were normal . This is also not uncommon for this type of cancer. She should have known that and acted on the very classic presentation of glandular cancer. It's an understatement to say that I'm unhappy with her treatment.

The OB/GYN office on Route 172 is very busy compared to the former office on Kensico Drive both in Mt. Kisco, NY. I waited thirty five minutes beyond my appointment when I was finally ushered into an exam room. It was another 20 minutes before the doctor appeared. The day of my visit was on a Thursday; not a day I would expect to be as busy as Mondays or Fridays. Actually I was about to get dressed and leave the office when the doctor walked into the exam room. Dr. Maffi was somewhat cool. I wasn't in need of "warm and fuzzy" but her demeanor was very businesslike. I was unable to get a timely appointment with the doctor in the practice I normally see so this was my first visit with Dr. Maffei. I'm not very happy about the entire experince.

I've been a patient of Dr. Maffei for over 25 years and find her to be very easy to talk to. She listens and offers understanding and straight forward medical solutions and advice. Dr. Maffei and her staff have always been sensitive and compassionate towards women's needs.

Kind, warm, helpful, considerate. Wouldn't go to anyone else!

Dr. Maffei is a wonderful doctor. She is kind, understanding, patient and has a wonderful sense of humor. I would highly recommend her as a doctor.
