Dr. Weiss was very sympathetic, listened well to patient, which not all doctors do.

There is no Dr. like Dr. Weiss. Knowledge, professionalism, attention and much more...

I was healthy I was fine. Bloodwork was fine so were my exams. This new drug came out and he removed me from medicine that was working, the after that I got sick. Then my illness got very bad. He sent me to one of his friends for surgery that didn’t go well. He ran through all the medicines that wrote me off. I went to another doc and that doc put me on my old meds and I healed fine. When I requested my medical records his office gave me trouble, over charges me and I didn’t get my records. I called my lawyer and he got them and also got the paper trail of Dr Weiss receiving incentives at that time from that drug company to move everyone on this re drug that I and the rest didn’t need. Please save yourself and do not see this guy, he will ruin your life.

1 appointment and follow up and I am very impressed. Dr. Weiss spent 30+ minutes with me on my first appointment and was very thorough in questions and examination. He personally called to follow up with my lab results and to ensure he had my previous records. I get the feeling this is a very analytical person who takes a deep dive into patient records. The front desk does seem a little hectic, but their manner was nice enough. It does seem that the Dr. might be doing his own follow through because the front desk might let things (like my records) slip through the cracks - that's just a guess.

Dr. Weiss is expert in his field - as well as caring, compassionate, and very calming. I can't say enough good things about him and he has my HIGHEST recommendation!!!

Good luck dealing with the front desk. No follow through, impossible to get on the phone, incompetent at scheduling, and they don't listen to messages.

The staff is absolutely unprofessional. And forget about the doctor taking time with you. A follow up yea right. I never even got a call to see how I was doing after surgery. Nor a follow up appointment.

Dr Weiss is kind, compassionate, and most importantly, thinks! He has been able to correctly diagnose many of my issues just by listening to me. Having seen two other GIs that are closer to my home, I know that this is rare and I am more than willing to travel to his Manhattan office if need be. But - it is not always necessary as he takes the time to personally return phone calls and has addressed many concerns that way. If it is urgent, you can call and he will always fit you in, even if his office staff say he is booked.
