Dr. Anthony Vincent Caggiano, MD

We were very impressed with Dr. Caggiano. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and confident about my husbands condition:) We feel at ease with Dr. Caggiano doing the aortic valve replacement. We are SO relieved to of found such a great Doctor and being able to do at it here at Valley health!!:) Thank you Dr. Caggiano and wonderful staff!!!:)

Dr. Caggiano is the best doctor I have ever been to. He is extremely kind and you can tell that he sincerely cares about you. His staff is amazing and very personable. I love going to his office!!

Dr Caggiano was able to fit me in his schedule on short notice. Once there he did a sonogram to find out why I was getting phlebitis from another doctors office sclerotherapy injections. He was able to show me my problems and reassure me it would be ok. Although it was rare to see this. This consult was free! Thank you Dr Caggiano. I will not be going back to the previous doctors office for my sclerotherapy when I feel I now have a competent and caring physician in my home town.

My wife was referred to this man. He diagnosed the problem to be a blockage in an artery leading into the leg. His staff did a doppler scan leading to this conclusion. He then did a femoral to femoral bypass to alleviate the blockage. The first mistake was to attempt a graft where a stint had been placed prior, which he had observed on the doppler. He seemed to be surprised by this and even removed the stint.The first few days, this seemed to increase the flow as there was a pulse in the foot where one was barely detectable before. However, after a week, the flow wasn't any better to the foot, causing pain and discoloration of the small toe. His explanation was to blame my wife for smoking (one week after the failed procedure) with no offer to move graft, to a point obviously beyond the blockage or any type of follow-up. After about 10 months of zero support from this man, the pain has increased and a sensation of numbness to tingly feeling in foot has developed. When she went to the… hospital for help, they contacted this man who couldn't make it to the hospital for 3 days to check on my wife. The hospital in turn would not release my wife for liability reasons. When my wife contacted this man personally, he told her "you are more trouble than you are worth", causing her more emotional distress. I intend to seek legal reconciliation for his terrible bedside manner and callous disregard for his patient's well being. I would seek this procedure from anyone else, before this man. The wait time shows greater than one hour because it was days. My wife had an appointment that took the entire staff by surprise. They swore she was scheduled for a different day, until we produced his business card showing the correct day and time. We now know in hindsight that was an indicator of a shoddy practice.
