Dr. Anthony Capizzi, MD

Still dealing with muscle issues and painful scars from Dr. Capizzi giving me a non-medically necessary mastectomy when I was only 20 years old. When Good Samaritan blocked the procedure, he kindly offered to take apart my healthy body in a surgery center the next week. When the outcome left lumps I asked for a revision and he angrily said “no one else would do this for you” like it was a good thing he did this to me. He did not at all prepare me for the outcomes and did not obtain informed consent by explaining his limitations as a general surgeon. All I ever wanted to do was swim and I cannot do whatever you thought made you go against all medical advice. Please make this right.

He gave me a completely unnecessary mastectomy and was one of the most nasty people ive ever met. I have horrible lumpy scars that look horrific and was mutilated by this man.

Terrible bed side manners, very unprofessional.

Wish I could give zero stars. Almost died because of a botched surgery from this man. Not worth the risk of going under the knife with his as a surgeon.

Missed one of my stitches cause me months of pain. Had to be removed at the ER almost 3 months later. Dr lee in the same office is equally terrible. Never trust doctors with same day appointments. They are looking to turn as many patients as humanly possible and don’t care about your health or how you are treated.

Saw him for minor in-office surgery. He was running late; I was waiting for over an hour beyond my scheduled appointment. He cut me before I was numb, ran into complications thereafter and audibly cursed when the overhead light bulb blew and broke glass all over me. After the procedure, within moments of arriving home, I was laying in a pool of blood. Spent 9 hours bleeding in Good Samaritan ER; staff there kept calling Capizzi to come in and he refused.

Dr Capizzi was my surgeon in 1990 and 2016. He's great, his staff is great , I'd recommend him to anyone. He is very personable as well as a great surgeon

Horrible, absolutely horrible. Wouldn't recommend this man to anyone for any reason. Post op results are botched and he refuses to fix it despite promised agreement to any revisions before I booked the surgery with him. Completely changed his attitude the second I expressed dissatisfaction (even went so far as to imply because of who I am that I should be grateful I got the care I need at all, subpar or not), the wait time is unbelievable, you have to beg to book an appointment within a reasonable time frame, and the desk clerk Kerry is extremely aggressive and plain nasty.

Dr Capizzi is a rarity among physicians today- patient, kind, compassionate, and thorough in explanations regarding diagnoses and treatments. You never dont feel "safe" in his care. Superb man and Doctor.
