Dr. Anthony Dean Lowman, MD

Since becoming a patient of Dr. Lowman I have been well pleased with the care that he has provided me. He always demonstrates patience, compassion,and kindness during some of my very difficult hospital stays and office visit. My family is treated with the upmost respect and are kept well informed. I thank God for a great physician such as Dr. Anthony Lowman, and his pleasant office staff as well. Based on his knowledge and expertise in his field, my condition has greatly improved and I do not think this would be the case had Dr.Lowman not taken me in as a patient.

Dr. Lowman performed an upper endoscopy for me at the Columbia Endoscopy Clinic above his offices. It was a horrible experience! The only nice thing about it was the sweet nurse that got me ready for my procedure. The nurse who administered my anesthesia almost took my blood pressure in my right arm, while it was clearly marked with a red sign on my bed rail NOT to do. Had I not stopped her, she would have carried on. The most nerve racking part is when they get you into the room to do the procedure. The two nurses said nothing the whole time. When I asked a question, they answered, but other than that, they said nothing. During my initial visit with doctor Lowman, I had told him I had already had a specific test done. Today at my procedure, he took biopsies for the same thing!! I called right away to tell the office manager that I did NOT expect to be billed for any biopsies since he was already aware that I had been tested and found negative. When he came by to tell me the… findings of my procedure, he did not explain everything clearly. I came home, looked at paperwork, then searched the internet to find out the areas he had found problems with. I would NOT recommend this physician and especially not this "endoscopy clinic" to anyone! There is NO PRIVACY. There are only curtains separating patients, so you hear their whole medical history, and their entire conversations with staff, and yours can be heard by others as well. I found it to be very unprofessional. I left with the feeling that Dr. Lowman hadn't even reviewed my chart before doing the procedure, that I was just "number 10 of the day".

Dr. Lowman takes a great deal of time with each patient, is very professional, and follows up with his patients.

Dr. Lowman always explains matters in detail, ensures we have answers to any questions and gives relevant advice on remediating conditions.
