Dr. Anthony Mark Propst, MD

My husband and I could not say enough good things about Dr. Propst, his staff and collogues. When we first came to TFC we were still trying to wrap our heads around the idea that we were most likely going to have to rely on IVF if we wanted to have children of our own. Dr. Propst was very clear, straightforward and empathetic. He answered every question we had and was confident in his recommendation to move forward (which included surgery). We left feeling armed with knowledge but still needed to make our final decision on what was right for our family. Flash forward 6 months, we tried a non-surgical solution which proved to be unsuccessful for us and decided to trust Dr. Propst and jump into IVF. To be honest, I was a little nervous of judgement for taking so long to come back but found we were met with nothing but understanding. Everything went so smoothly throughout the entire process and our expectations were appropriately managed the entire time. Each appointment we left feeling… confident and heard, every question answered, all calls timely and never rushed. Now here we are almost into our second trimester! It was such an amazing experience and will 100% be team Propst/TFC for our next!

Had a horrible experience with this doctor today. It was my first time in the clinic and I was really nervous. Rather than meeting a warm and kind doctor like I expected he was cold and unfriendly. He gave me some bad news in a really nonchalant way and then did not really explain the details further or give me any opportunity to ask questions. He was clearly rushed to see the next patient and did not seem like he cared at all. At one point I asked him something and he laughed, rolled his eyes and made me feel like an idiot. If you want to be treated with compassion and like a human being I recommend you don’t go to see this doctor.

Dr. Propst has been an excellent fertility doctor, as he is very knowlegeable, professional and kind.

When I started my journey toward motherhood, the thought of visiting a fertility doctor terrified me. I’ve been to so many doctors who have shamed me and judged me because of my weight. On top of that, I was seeking to become a mother as a single woman and I was worried about even more judgment because of my marital status. Dr. Propst always treated me with the utmost professionalism and respect and I never once felt judged, belittled, or intimidated. I really appreciated how he offered the least invasive treatment options first and never once tried to pressure me into something more expensive. I know many women in my position who have been pushed into doing IVF just so their doctors could make a buck. When I did decide to try IVF (it was completely my decision) and it didn’t work, Dr. Propst was more than happy to support me trying a less invasive treatment option afterwards instead of encouraging IVF again. That treatment worked and now I am the mother of the most wonderful son… in the world. With Dr. Propst’s help, my dream came true. When the time came for me to try for a second child, I never doubted which doctor I would see. Thankfully, with everything we learned the first time around, I got pregnant on the first try this time and am now expecting my second child. Words can’t express how grateful I am for the gift he has given me. Pursuing parenthood without a partner is scary, stressful, and oftentimes heartbreaking. The one area I wasn’t stressed about was whether or not I was receiving the absolute best medical treatment possible. I am normally very wary and mistrustful of doctors but in this case I felt completely confident and safe and would highly recommend Dr. Propst to anyone struggling with infertility, especially women who are doing this on their own. In fact, I have recommended him to every friend who has asked.

If I could give zero stars I would. Don't expect to receive the level of care you are paying for with Dr. Propst. Dr. Propst lacerated my wife's small intestine during a surgery that was post fertility treatment and he and TFC have refused to take responsibility of the matter. This mistake and lack of identifying the correct symptoms led to an emergency surgery to prevent sepsis, 3 days in ICU, and a 2 week hospital stay. All at the cost of my family. We have attempted to resolve the issue with Dr. Propst for over a year however he refuses to accept responsibility for his low level of care. Do not go to Dr. Propst if you plan on feeling like a human being with unique needs. This clinic place pushes you in and out like a factory and then turns their back when they make a mistake. You are not watched over with care, but instead will be pushed aside at the risk of your health. There are plenty of other choices in the Austin area that are cheaper and give you a higher level of attention.… Do your research.

Dr. Propst gave us excellent care during our secondary infertility and IVF journey. He was humane and humble throughout the expert care he gave and we received. Today, we have a beautiful and healthy baby boy!

Today is a bittersweet day! I graduated from my RE (reproductive endocrinologist) that I love! Dr. Propst at Texas Fertility Center helped my husband and I start our family after we tried for over 5 years. We have unexplained infertility which was frustrating on our part but in 2015 my OBGYN at Darnell highly recommended Dr. Propst at TFC and it was the best thing that could have happened to us! In 2015, we met with Dr. Propst to go over our option. We didn’t have much time since the military was moving us to Japan but Dr. Propst was confident that he could help us. In 2015 we did our first IVF cycle with Dr. Propst, even though we only had three five-day blastocysts from the retrieval, we were optimistic that it would work. We had a 5-day fresh transfer and low and behold, we were pregnant with our little miracle. In 2016, I gave birth to my son in Japan. Fast forward a year and a half. I came back to Dr. Propst at TFC to try to conceive again. Low and behold, I was… pregnant on my first FET. Unfortunately, at 5 weeks I miscarried in July of 2017. I went to Dr. Propst on the day it happened distraught. Dr. Propst was very understanding of my feelings and made me feel better with explaining that it was nothing I did and most likely due to an abnormal chromosome. I had no clue how I was going to explain this to my husband since he was in Japan. Dr. Propst went above and beyond and asked if I wanted him to call and give him the news. As soon as I was ready, I tried another FET with Dr. Propst, and guess what! I am pregnant again. I am currently 8 weeks 1 day today and everything looks great. I owe my family to Dr. Propst. As soon as we are ready to add to my family, I am definitely going back to Dr. Propst at TFC! I cannot say enough great things about my RE!

Grateful we chose Texas Fertility Center and even more grateful we chose Dr. Propst to be our fertiltiy Doctor. He is so knowledgeable, so caring, understanding, spends as much time with you as you need, has great bedside manner, has the nicest disposition, and made it possible to conceive our first child. He created a program specifically for my needs and travel schedule, and was present for all procedures, even sonograms. He is ALWAYS on time. Nurses at St. David's said he is the one doctor who is very punctual. He made it possible what seemed to be impossible. We are so GRATEFUL for Dr. Propst

Dr. Propst helped us start our family. He took the time to explain the procedures and medications and helped to answer all our questions. We are very happy to have chosen him as our provider and will return in the near future to continue building our family!
