Dr. Anthony Ralph Russo, MD

First let me say that I have given this doctor two tries and both have ended in a horrible experience. I will leave all the details out, good or bad, that pertain to the staff or the extensive wait time. Flat out, his problem is he talks too fast, too much and doesn't listen nor remember your issue if you can squeeze it in. Here are the cliff notes. I went in for a migraine, possible ear infections, sore glands and throat, and neck pain. After he came in the room he immediately started telling me I had strep throat and he didn't need to do a test because they are always wrong anyway. He looked my throat for a brief second and walked out. I never saw him again. I saw the nurse who brought in a prescription of Amoxil. I told her that this wasn't all that I was here for and had back and neck pains. She went to talk to Dr. Russo and a second nurse came back with another prescription of Lidocaine oral rinse. What did this had to do with my neck and back? All you are is a number… to him. The quicker he can get you out, the quicker he can turn funds.

I love Dr.Russo, he is very professional but has a wonderful bedside manner he is the only pcp for me. He has always been helpful if I needed additional info on something he has told me or given me I can always call and they get right back to me. He has gone to bat with my insurance company,if he feels they are in the wrong. He is great!!!!

Was told after an x-ray that my foot was fractured. I was put in a fracture shoe and sent on my merry way. No follow up from this doctor, but after days of pain and aggravation I decided to see my orthopedic specialist. Guess what...no fracture. How do you misdiagnose a fracture? Come on....there is no excuse for this...I have lost all faith in the city of Norfolk's medical professionals.
