Dr. Anthony Gerard Sanzone, MD

very hard to get a hold of and was on phone hold for> 15 minutes- hung up, saw me once in the 6 days I was in hospital, never offered a bone stimulator or took care of my pain mgt. But everyone says he is great, maybe an off week???

He is the best doctor I have ever been to. He cares about his patients. He made it easier for me to deal with a fractured ankle.

I have had the worse experience at this office. During my initial visit I saw the doctor for maybe two minutes when he came in to tell me I was having surgery. He did not explain the procedure. I was then sent home with no appointment and I had to keep calling them for time and location of my surgery. The day of the surgery he probably saw me for 2 minscto tell me the surgery had been delayed. No one from his office had followed up on my status, I was not prescribed medication prior to the surgery and the office staff are always rushed and very rude. The final straw has been when I dropped off my state disability paperwok and they want to charge me $30 dollars to complete. I am complaining to the medical board for his lack of follow through. The Doctor is all about making money and rushing patients in and out of the office. Very uncaring and it shows. I am extremely unhappy so save yourself the headaches and choose carefully

This doctor misrepresents himself as having his own practice and accepts most insurance plans. He will bill you after several visits as "emergency services", even though you scheduled regular routine office visits. He, and his office manager, are despicable human beings. Steer clear - you have been warned!

I broke my femur, rushed into ER and the doctor on call at UCSD installed a plate from bone-end to bone-end since the middle was a mess. 3 days later I was told Dr Sanzone would be my new surgeon. He said I may need a bone graft yet lets wait to see how I would heal. I received my graft days ago and am healing fine. Glad such a good man and doctor is taking great care of me.

I broke my tibia and was taken to the hospital via ambulance and ER. Dr. Sanzone happened to be the on-call ortho that night I could not have been luckier. His office staff is easy to deal with, appointments are plentiful, his 2 locations are easy to find and get in and out of. I hope I never break another bone, but if I do, this is who I'd call. I'd rate my experience to include surgery with Dr Sanzone as the highest possible. My incision looks as good as it can and that is probably due to a very high level of care from Dr Sanzone.
