Dr. Antonio John Decarli, MD

Not happy. Office not helpful anymore. Not sure what's going on. Love Dr. DeCarli, but not scheduling. Inept. Have called 2x and no one has returned calls for my authorized procedure since October

On May 23, 2022 I was scheduled by Dr. Antonio Decarli for a routine colonoscopy at Atlantic Surgery Center in Daytona Beach. The sheet I was given by Decarli’s office said to check in at 11:45 for a 1:00 colonoscopy. By 1:00 I was on a bed with a backless gown. I was still there at 2:00. Still in that same bed at 3:00. In the 3 hours I was in the bed no one ever talked to me with any explanation, apology, or schedule. Finally, around 4:00 they performed my colonoscopy. When I woke up, Dr. Decarli came to see me. No “sorry for making you wait 3 hours.” No, “we really appreciate your patience.” Not even a “kiss my a$$.” With one hand on the door knob he spent 45 seconds giving me my results and then he was gone. I understand the business model Decarli and Atlantic Surgery subscribe to. In order to maximize profits, grossly overbook patients and the doctor will never be waiting on a patient ensuring you can jam the most patients through the system and keep the cash register… jingling. Couple that with absolute minimum time spent with patients and you’ve got a recipe for riches. If the patients have to wait several hours too bad for them – we are making maximum money! They have 100% forgotten that our relationship is not only Doctor/Patient but also Vendor/Customer. Never crosses their minds that customer service should be one of their priorities. As a customer, this treatment is totally unacceptable. When looking for a Gastro doctor and a place to have a routine colonoscopy your absolute last choice in the world should be Dr. Antonio Decarli and the Atlantic Surgery Center

He has been my GI Guy for quite a few years. He is very compassionate and caring. Dr DiCarli is always professional and very knowledgable. Fantastic doctor.

He really cares about his patients and takes time with them.

I never saw the doctor and I was charged for full provider fees and prices when I only saw the doctors’ assistants. I did not receive the treatment I needed and now I am out of funds as this doctor sent me out of the roof charges when I NEVER saw him. Horrible experience .

We first met Dr Decarli while hospitalized for a near fatal issue 10 years ago. His calm and gentle bed side manner allowed us to have a better understanding of the problems at hand. Through the years he has continually proven to be extremely knowledgeable and highly dedicated to his patients well being. I recommend Dr Decarli for all patients seeking a physician who genuinely cares.

I have been seeing Dr. DeCarli for many years. My most recent visit was in the Port Orange office where I was greeted by a smiling young lady who checked me in promptly. The medical staff was wonderful as always. I was pulled back to a private exam room that was very clean and modern. Dr. DeCarli came in a short time after and of course answered all the questions that I had. I would highly recommended this office to anyone who is looking for a Gastroenterologist!

I had a new patient appointment at the new Port Orange office. My wait time was fairly short, and the staff members were very helpful. When I made my new patient appointment the girl I spoke with on the phone made sure to get detailed information about all of my previous records so that Dr. DeCarli could review them before my visit. I was very impressed with the office, the staff, and the bedside manner of Dr. DeCarli. I highly recommend Dr. DeCarli to anyone who is looking for an honest, caring, considerate, genuine physician.

The first time I went to him the office personnel almost made me walk out. They assured me my blood work was there and I had to ask three times to check. Each time they insisted I pay immediately before finding out if my bloodwork arrived. It turned out it was not there. The same two young women behind the check-in desk in the Port Orange office were very unprofessional. They made fun of and spoke about the other patient waiting, an elderly lady who was also there at the same time. They made fun of her and what she said while I checked in and also as I was leaving. The poor lady was only concerned and didn't understand everything. Her questions were valid. Dr. DeCarli came out and tried to comfort her and explain but the 2 office clerks thought it was funny. When I saw Dr. DeCarli my blood pressure was the highest it had ever been as I was still upset about the poor lady. As I scheduled my procedure the woman doing it shouted across the outer office from her office what medicines I was… taking and asked the two clerks if I could take them before the procedure. I wonder if Dr. DeCarli knows what is going on with his staff. Now I am scared to go through with the procedure.
