I first saw the Doctor back in 2008 when I was much younger and referred to him by my primary care doctor when I was experiencing left chest pain. I found him to very knowledgeable and he explained everything what I thought were chest heart pains was actually chest wall pains and not really related to my heart. However he gave me a stress test to be sure. Now I'm 51 and it's time for me to seek a cardiologist and I thought of him first. This way I can start the process on getting a stress test done so I can seek his medical advise if there is anything that I need to do....I feel I will be in good hands with Doctor Gunawan.

Doctor Gunawan is the best doctor . He saved my life when he discovered that I needed a Quadruple by pass. . He then realized 4 years later that I was having a heart attack in his office and Personally put me in a wheelchair and got me to the ER and on to the Cath lab placing a stent in a native artery Doctor Gunawan is by far the best cardiologist in the Houston metro area., and by far a great human being

He's always over booked so wait times are so long it's ridiculous. I've been seeing him for a couple of years & despite what others say it's always been like that for me. I get the feeling he's a cheap service from the size & condition of his office. He never takes the time to explain my condition or his treatments. I never feel he has any confidence in what he's telling me.

Dr. Gunawan is a wonderful doctor. I have been a patient for almost 10 years. He is truly concerned about your overall health and is one of the best and most knowledgeable doctors I have ever had. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Gunawan is a very caring man. He is respected in his field, and has taken care of several members of our family. I would recommend him highly.

Dr Gunawan is great! He saved my life twice and when I go for an appointment, there is usually no wait unless he had to go to an emergency situation.

He has been my mom's doctor for over 25 year and both for me and my husband's for sometime now. What a caring person he is. We need more doctors like him who cares about individual's well bing then money- trust me we had a few those as well.

Dr. Gunawan is deserving of 100% excellentevaluation. He is extremely competent, very caring and considerate, and gives all he can to the patient's needs. My husband and I have gone to him over five years and need to drive from Sugar Land to Memorial City, but it is worth it. We trust him implicitly and would recommend him to anyone seeking a cardiologist.
