I actually had a lumbar spine fusion with this surgeon. Heard he was number 1 and that meant a lot to me as this was my 4th surgery. He also did a revision on my scar to reduce the stretch, which was super successfull. He was warm with me pre op and talked to me about all my concerns with patience and directness. He did not sugar coat the intensity of my surgery. My dissapoinments came in after my surgery. He did not come in to see me once during my week long stay to talk about my sever pain, the steps of healing after, or just to give me an update of how it went while I was under. He instead sent his partner who only visited me twice and was unable to answer a lot of my questions. Upon leaving, my mother didn't want me to, she wanted me to stay. This was because the Dr prescribed me a super low dose of medication that would normally be give after seeing the Dentist. My mother was concerned about having to take me to urgent care do to my amount of pain. However, I naturally chose to… leave because who wants yo spend christmas in the hospital. Instead I spent christmas eve not sleeping and screaming in agony for the entire night, never able to keep ahead of my pain. This turned into me waking up on Christmas morning with an elevated resting heart rate, fever blisters all over my lips, cold sweats, uncomfortability and pain that was peaking past a 10. So had to go to urgent care, where the Dr there said I have a bad Viral/Oral infection because my bosy is in so much stress and shock from the pain post operitive. She even asked what I was on and was put off as much as my mom and I were to the low dosage. So ontop of pain, I know have a bad infection post opertive do to the lack of pain control.
