Dr. Anu Sampat, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Anu Sampat in Staten Island. She treated me with genuine care, took the time to listen, and put me on the right medication for my condition, which has helped me greatly. I continue to see her because I truly trust her judgment and expertise. Her office staff is also wonderful—professional, kind, and well-organized, making every visit smooth and comfortable. Overall, an excellent experience and a doctor I would confidently recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Sampat for about 2-3 years. I decided to changes Dr. Sampat because I do not feel comfortable with her as my doctor. my health condition changed drastically and i expected from her as a doctor to engage and have an interested in my condition-there is a disconnect. I just feel this coldness and when you see a doctor for a number of years there should be somewhat of a doctor/patient relationship. i would think that working with a doctor for a number of years a curtesy of asking a patient how are they and how they feel will make a patient feel that the doctor cares about their health.

I would not recommend Dr. Sampat. She was not honest with me. Her and her staff made me feel very uncomfortable during a procedure I had. I felt violated. I wouldn’t even give her a star.

I have been going to Dr. Sampat for over 10 years and I have followed her because I am so happy with her care! She is patient and takes her time with you. And listens to you- she doesn’t get lost in the computer, she looks you straight in the eye and explains your diagnosis and treatment until you feel comfortable and competent in your health. I highly recommend Dr. Sampat.

I visited Dr. Sampat yesterday after 4 days of a horrible stomach episode (which has been going on for a few years without a solid cause). I tried calling almost 12 different gastro doctors covered by my new insurance, all of which couldn’t see me for at least 2-3 weeks, despite explaining the severity of the situation. Dr. Sampat’s office was so accomdating and squeezed me in for a visit the same day I called. I waited not even 2 minutes in the office before being seen and due to the pain I was in and the fact that i start a new job next week, Dr. Sampat added an extra appointment for me the very next day to get an endoscopy. She assured me that we would get to the bottom of what was going on and put me at ease. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, such a great experience and caring doctor!

After my colonoscopy, rather than calling me into her office, Dr. Sampat passed through the sitting area and said everything looks okay, see you at the follow-up. First of all that breaks all HIPA rules. Secondly, I have asked around and she seems to be the only Doctor who requires you to go back for a follow-up so she can double bill you and the insurance company. don't waste your time go elsewhere.
