In 2022, I have been to this provider’s office for my overall health as a PCOS girlie. I wanted to change my birth control because I realized I have trouble keeping a consistent cycle with it. I was concerned, I asked for different types of tests to be done (apparently the ones from the year before were accurate) and nothing was done other than getting a new birth control ordered. I then, had allergic reactions to the medication so she prescribed me something else after waiting a month. (To my knowledge after reading clinical notes-she hadn’t changed the birth control at all) I called in with updates regarding the birth control including the name of the prescription- and when I met her for a follow up appointment she claimed she never prescribed the prescription to me and the pharmacy changed the the script due to a coverage issue. I then was prescribed a progesterone only BC and I became frustrated with the second follow up appointment when I noticed my feet were swelling like crazy.… Her only advice was for me to drink water and lose weight. (I haven’t seen her since then and I stopped using that BC- my feet no longer swell like crazy.) Fast forward to 2024, I have a car accident and my Lumbar MRI shows I have an ovarian cyst showing to be 9.8 cm (3-4 inches). After a sudden open operation on March, 26th 2025 we found it was 12 x 15 cm. I actually had a stage 1JGCT the whole time. Thank goodness I do not need chemo but I am being monitored. Please don’t go to this provider if you experiencing issues of this nature.

I went in for an annual but had questions regarding conceiving. She laughed at me and told me I shouldn’t be worried about getting pregnant, just that I need to exercise. I have legit concerns about my reproductive wellbeing and just wanted information about how to get some answers, and I was laughed at. Not to mention she walked in on me changing into the gown and did not apologize once. No concern at all for my questions and extremely judgemental in an already vulnerable situation.

Went to her with something I was unsure about and she told me I had something pretty bad while telling me it wasn’t her speciality but she was so adamant that she was right about what is was. I left crying and incredibly concerned with what she had said. After going to a specialist I learned she was completely wrong and scared me for no reason. Not good beside manner. Made faces when I was telling her about my symptoms.

Dr.Sunkavalli does not have good bedside manner, and she made me feel very uncomfortable. She did not take a minute to read my reason for the visit before entering the room, and once she entered she did not welcome me. She quickly jumped to personal questions where I wanted to be as open and honest as possible. It was not the questions that bothered me, it was her judge-mental demeanor and responses filled with attitude. Going to the gynecologist is already an uncomfortable thing, and to make a young girl feel even more judged and uncomfortable in that short time is wrong. She also was not helpful with suggestions for birth controls that I can take for my Factor V liaison (a blood clotting disorder), in-fact she did not have much information on this at all. When I decided on the implant, I came back. To her. When she put it in, she put it in very deep in my arm (It should be near the surface of the skin). I am 5'6" and weigh 117 pounds, but her reasoning for putting the implant so deep… into my arm was incase "lose weight”. This made for a very long and extensive removal of the implant later. The new doctor who removed it said this was not the way to put it into my arm. Which then created extra scarring because I needed two incisions.

Went to her in pain. Was concerned that a cyst may have burst. Was advised to see a chiropractor! She seemed convinced it was back pain radiating to the front. Skeptical, I went home and scheduled an appointment with my gastro who ordered an immediate CAT scan. Turns out my issues are gynological! Thank God my gastro is so very efficient!

I wasted my time coming here. I am 54 yrs old going through premenapausal systems. I went to a female gyn thinking they would do better than a man for me. I told her I have consistent bleeding and had a DNC in the past. Collapsed on the floor a week prior. She did absolutely nothing. She did not schedule vaginal ultrasound, no exam, nothing! She just said you are premenapausal. She argued with me when I told her i take 1000 mg fish oil. She said there is no such thing. (not what my bottle says). Then when I called the office back a number of times to ask why they did not schedule a vaginal ultrasound, I never got a return phone call.

She brushes off concerns like they are unimportant.

Decisions about care seem to be talked about as mandates by her rather than an open discussion. At 45 she is telling me that I must go off birth control pills. I've looked into this more, and it seems that this is not the right approach. Many, many women stay on the pill until 50 and beyond. Some doctors even put women on the pill to manage perimenopause symptoms. I will be switching doctors. I want someone who will talk to me and hear me and have an in-depth discussion of the pros/cons. She spoke to me like a child...like I was uneducated, she knew better than me, and how dare I question her. I left the office very upset to say the least.

Excellent doctor . Tended to me for all 3 of my children. Delivered 2 of them.

She was my GYN for some time and then once I got pregnant she delivered my 1st son and am now on my second baby to come this April, she will be delivering him as well I couldnt be more happy. She is very honest and spends as much time as you need. She makes you feel safe and well cared for! I wouldnt pick any one else.
