More about Dr. Arash M Mozayan-Isfahani
Dr. Mozayan is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is dedicated to providing the best care in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases. His areas of interest are the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular pucker, and macular hole. His interest in retina started very early as one of his relatives became blind from diabetic retinopathy. He then successfully completed a Surgical Internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital where he perfected his bimanual skills in surgery, a skill that is critical in eye surgery as a surgeon needs to be able to operate with both hands safely. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, Jacobi Medical Center, where he published multiple research articles and was the first recipient of the annual Paul Henkind Research Award 2 years in a row. Dr. Mozayan became board certified in ophthalmology and subspecialized in the diagnosis and treatment of medical retinal diseases and surgeries of the retina at the prestigious University of California, San Diego, Shiley Eye Center during which he was also a subinvestigator on all research trials at the Jacobs Retina Research Center. His areas of interest are the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular pucker, macular hole among others.
