I was about to discharge myself from the hospital to go to the VA Hospital in Palo Alto. After meeting with Dr. DeMers, I decided to let her perform the surgery on my foot. Her demeanor, bed-side manor and compassion changed my mind. Upon follow-up care in her office, that same compassion was demonstrated by her staff. I'm glad to say I made the right decision.

Dr. DeMers is knowledgeable, competent, kind and caring. Everything a doctor should be. She is complemented by a staff of equally competent and caring people.

To call this procedure a miracle would not be hyperbolic. I literally was dreading getting out of bed in the morning, between sore knee joints (X-ray showed little to no cartilage) and a sore back (I was diagnosed with DISH), life was not so great. I used to be an avid cyclist till about 3 years ago, when arthritis and injuries got me riding less and less until I thought I'd never be on my bike again. Within weeks after my double-knee PRP, I was back on the bike again, pain free (other than my back). A couple of months later and I got the back PRP hoping for similar results. I was not disappointed -- in fact I was ecstatic. In the months since both PRPs, I have biked more than 400 miles, including many climbs of Mt. Diablo, Mt. Tam, and other grueling hill climbs. A year ago, I never would have believed I was doing this again! I'm also back in the gym, I've lost 40 lbs and life is really good. Thank you Dr. Demers and your excellent staff!
