Dr. Arleigh Ilao Ancheta, DO

Dr. Ancheta is great. He resolved my uterine polyp issues, has performed out patient procedures on me with compassion and kindness. Started with him 2015, had a visit last week, 10/2025. He is very thorough...found a lump on my thyroid that I had no idea was there. I am very pleased he is practicing in Palm Harbor again. His staff is very pleasant & knew what they were doing. I enjoyed my visit.

The impression this doctor gave me it was that he didn't have all the knowledge to deal with my problems of heavy bleeding and having anemia because of that. He ordered an ultrasound and then automatically later he wanted to do a biopsy. And that's it. He only worked for those procedures, because he didn't care when I talked about my bleeding, the terrible cramps I have every month and still spotting.. He never talked about the hysterectomy that I was needing to have. This is short for all the frustration I had to encounter. I'd rather keep moving on and find another doctor that cares and has knowledges. This doctor would be able to manage the routine and daily life cases adequately but he's stuck with the not so common ailments. He fails to recognize the atypical presentations of common problems. Apart from the mediocrity I terms of clinical acumen, the patient-doctor interaction was indifferent, It never involved understanding or satisfaction of my part.

Dr. Ancheta is an amazing doctor. He is so kind and compassionate. He takes time listening to me. I highly recommend Dr. Ancheta to anyone. The staff are very friendly and professional as well.

I don't even know where to start...This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life, not just with a doctors office but any hospitality related industry (which applies to a lot of industries). When I first went in for my first visit they estimated my due date to be February 24th. Not to mention that Dr. Ancheta had a tag along with him while he was examining me which made everything very uncomfortable. Not only that, but no one provided me with any type of information granted this is my first pregnancy and I dont know what to do or where to start. It took 4 appointments to get this information along with me having to ask for it and explain to one of the front desk ladies what I was asking for because she clearly did not understand what I meant. (They obviously don't hand information packets out very often then) So the week after my first appointment I had an ultrasound and she measured my baby to be 8 weeks not 12. As of a week ago my due date on my paperwork was still… February 24th because they failed to update my paperwork. I had to get my wisdom teeth out at 14 weeks and it took them two weeks to get all of my paperwork sent correctly to my dentist. Not to mention I was on the phone arguing with one of the women about them failing to properly send my paperwork in and how they never listed on my paperwork if I could have laughing gas or not. But I was accused of being in the wrong. Last week I had to get my blood work done and it took me a week to ensure that they had faxed the request for me to do so. (Keep in mind they have had since my week 8 to do this, but never did.) Along with my due date being incorrect on my paperwork as well. I have been in the process of changing doctors and they have now refused service to me regarding a poor facebook review, and I do not feel sorry about letting the public know how horrible this office is and that they should not waster their time. Now I am without a doctor for at least a month, luckily I am still early in my term but it is the principle! They are also threatening to refuse to give me my medical records unless I pay them a fee per page, which that is illegal to refuse to give me my records. I read another woman's review on here claiming they also refused to give her, her records. This place is a joke of an office and they should still be in practice. They will cause you nothing but stress and anger. You do not need that while being pregnant or at all. Please ladies save yourself and your baby the stress and worry and go to a different doctor!

As a healthcare provider and 22 week pregnant patient, I have NEVER been more disappointed in any physician's office. I was sick this weekend and asked to come in after I was feeling better just to ensure baby was okay and that I do not need to worry about anything with my recent illness and was advised by the front desk girl to "go to the ER." I said, "I do not need to be in an ER. I am a nurse practitioner and just want to make sure baby is okay and maybe get some medicine for nausea in case I need it again. I do not need to waste time in an ER when they are only going to tell me to follow-up with my OB" and was still refused an appointment. I called back again and asked for an office manager to discuss how ridiculous this was, considering that I do NOT have a medical emergency and did not need to waste ER resources/time when I should really be following up with my specialist, but was once again blown off and told, "you have diclegis (a daily nausea medicine for morning sickness that… I stopped taking about 8 weeks ago as my morning sickness subsided which IS NOT FOR ACUTE SYMTPOMS) to take so you can take that and go to the ER." I called to talk to the office manager, my fiancée called as he was also livid, and we were given the run around and blatantly lied to about her being out of office until the front desk girl was sick of talking to him and put her on the phone. This office has been such a letdown since my first appointment there: running 2 hours behind on appointment times, not being open Fridays or at the Palm Harbor location on Tuesdays limiting available schedule times, and now this is just the icing on the cake. I have no desire to be seen any longer by any provider who will unnecessarily just brush me off and send me to an ER where they won't be able to do anything for me that I need done and feel bad for any patients who are not in medicine and don't know better and end up wasting time, money, and resources from taking the advice from this joke of an office. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PRACTICE!!!!

Takes forever to be seen he doesnt provide accurate advice.. And dont listen to the patient.. They make u wait over an hr to be seen by the drs and its only a 5 min discussion not happy at all

I just love this Doctor! He is so kind and compassionate. He takes the time to listen to me and is right on the money on diagnosis. He's awesome for saving me a co-pay and will gladly call me in a script for a female issue. The drawbacks. The office wait is horrible, hours upon hours in the waiting room then once your in the exam room it's maybe another 45 minutes. The staff is not so friendly or helpful and they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! Otherwise the Doc is awesome!!!!!

The reviews show that the Doctors are great but the staff is horrible. So I went in knowing the obsical yet, it was a good ,knowledgeable Doctor I need. I loved the ARNP she will bend backwards to accommodate you! I was very impressed with her she is knowledgeable and she explains and answers questions. She was worth the three weeks I waited for the appointment. Their follow thru sucks! The ARNP has her head on straight and when she had not received my test results back she had hand written me a letter that was so incredible. She said hey ...if you lost the prescription just call me I will get you a new one. I was blown away with her bed side manner and her ability to acess and listen to the patient! What ticked me off is that none of her staff had told her I had called in three times about my tests and I had called twice because it was taking me so long to get into radiology. I finally get all the tests done that she asked for 6 days ago. The radiologist had faxed this doctor the… day I had done the test. It's now 6 days later and she just called and said it's ok. I wish I felt ok. I also wish that this office had better communication. It's sad that a great doctor can be clouded by bad non communicating staff.

I love Dr. Anchetta I have been seen him for years. He delivered my daughter. Very good Doctor. In the other hand the office staff is HORRIBLE.. The office manager in the New Port Richey is EXTREMLY RUDE. It is a shame being that he is a great person. For only that reason I wont see him again or reffer anyone. If I am paying for a service I should be treated with dignity and respect.

I had a pap done which came back abnormal, HPV virus. Did not get a call from staff to come in sooner due to abnormality, made me wait 4 weeks till next appointment,which is when I found out about it. Dr Ancheta told me I had cancer!! and I did not, they were precancerous cells and could have led to cervical cancer had they not been removed!! I also waited over two hours in the cramped waiting room for my appointment. I requested a copy of my medical records and staff was very rude and reluctant to give MY information to ME!!
