Dr. Armand E Abulencia, MD

After seeing two other doctors, I saw Dr. Abulencia because I had a bad fall and severely injured my knees and shins. He immediately ordered an MRI to determine the extent of my injuries. I found him to be very efficient, Patient and caring. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I spoke with him after the results of the MRI and His recommendations were spot on for my recovery. I saw him for a follow up visit after about a month. He examined me and ordered x-rays. Again, he listen to everything I had to say and he seemed as delighted as I was regarding my recovery. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. Thank you, Dr. A!

I have been to Dr. Abalencia a few times over the years. He has always been caring and wonderful. He is an intelligent and gifted doctor.

Takes the time to listen and never rushes you out of office until all your questions are answered...

Went to see Dr Abulencia yesterday after having xrays, ordered by my NP. Found him to be very compassionate, caring and non- rushed. Listened to my issue. Prescribed a treatment which is non- invasive. Felt extremely comfortable with the visit and diagnosis. Will recommend to anyone looking for a Orthopaedic MD in the future.

Several members of our family ( children and adults) have seen Dr Abulencia over the years. We have always found his care to be excellent. He takes to time to listen to patients and explain treatment options.

Dr. A. appears to be intelligent and has excellent credentials. It could be timing but on a few of the times that I saw him he was very rushed. Likewise, it could have been that he was preoccupied but he appeared to be unsympathetic for my first-ever problem with chronic, neurological-related pain. His style of not reading the EMR but asking me for the updates took some getting used to. I am sure that many patients like him but he was not a good fit for me. I will not be returning to him and would not recommend him.

I went to see Dr. abulencia in his office he diagnosed me without doing any test then sends me for an x-Ray and a week later someone from his office calls me to tell me the results. Very unprofessional plus I went to his nesconset office the staff there is very unfriendly. if you get there earlier than your appointment time . You will wait because everyone that gets there after you will be seen first even though you were there before them. I would never recommend anyone to see him

Dr. Abulencia misdiagnosed me. He said i had a pulled muscle in my left leg and did not need an xray or an MRI. He dismissed my theory that I had a torn meniscus when i said It feels like what I had 6 years ago when Dr. Naido, who's now in Florida, fixed my torn meniscus. He told me to come back in 3 weeks. Then another 3 weeks After 6 weeks of back and forth, my primary insisted on an MRI and guess what. TORN MENISCUS. Then Dr. A. wanted to operate. I said Thank you very much and left. I would never rec. him to anyone. I used Dr. Healy and rec. him highly.

Dr. Abulencia is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He is professional, yet makes me feel very comfortable and he has a wonderful bedside manner. He did a great job on the rotator cuff repair in my right shoulder. I highly recommend him.

I met Dr. Abulencia late one night at Huntington Hospital in 2010 after breaking my leg in multiple places. He was very easy to talk to and put me at ease immediately. He had to perform surgery which required a metal plate being put on my leg and he explained the procedure perfectly and easily for me to understand (not in medical jargon). I spent a few days in the hospital, he came a visited me every day and was still very to talk to. I've been a patient of his every since and he, the staff, and the proactive approach he takes is AMAZING! I refer him to every person I know who has an orthopedic issue.
