Dr. Artem Kaplan, MD

Dr. Kaplan may be the best neurologist in Manhattan but unfortunately I'll never know. Scheduled an appointment for my husband 3 1/2 weeks ago for tomorrow, 12-2-22. Upon scheduling I gave my insurance ID and information to the representative, was told they take my insurance (Empire) and anxiously waited for our apt. as my husband had a stroke in his eye and was in dire need of evaluation to see what the issue was. Today, 12-1-22, I received a call at 4 pm from the office saying they do not accept our Empire plan. How unprofessional to cancel an appointment less than 24 hours before said apt. after having our insurance info for 3.5 weeks in advance with ample time to verify and allow us to find another dr. that would accept our insurance. I am now scrambling to find another dr. and am hoping we do not have to wait another 3-4 weeks for my husband to be evaluated and worrying that something may happen in the meantime. I've dealt with my fair share of incompetence in my 63 years but… have never been put in a situation like this. Your Dr. is only as good as his support staff and in this case they fell very short of how a professional office should conduct business. Good luck and hope no one ever experiences this lack of follow through from the office staff.

Dr. Kaplan is very attentive and knowledgeable, always proposing new potential things to try. Four stars only because our appointments typically start late.

Dr. Kaplan is extremely thoughtful and knowledgeable about migraines, and totally understood what I have been going through for too many years. He was very prudent and skilled in working out a regime for me that finally addressed my chronic migraines that were making me extremely ill once or twice a week for years. Many, many thanks to him and the very sweet and loyal folks who work with him.

Dr. Kaplan takes time and listens xarefully.

I have been seeing Dr. Kaplan for some time now and he is absolutely fantastic. He listens, takes the time to explain everything, and is patient when I ask questions. You can tell he really cares for his patients and what he does and tries to provide the best level of treatment. I have really bad migraines and he has been persistent on trying to explore different options so that I can be comfortable. I would highly recommend visiting Dr. Kaplan.

Dr Kaplan has been very helpful in helping me get relief from my Ocular Migraines. The botox shots he recommeded have helped me immensely. Before the shots I was having ocular migraine attacks about 5-8 times per month. In the last year I have had one episode, which is tremendous. I would highly recommend Dr Kaplan if you are dealing with Migraines.

Dr. Kaplan gave me proper guidance and recommendations and performed all the diagnostic tests he deemed necessary. Highly recommended.
