Dr. Arthur Louis Burnett, MD

My name is Joe, and I am 70 years old. I have had 4 surgeries, now, by Dr Burnett and his staff at Brady Urology (#1 in the World, BTW). They are the absolute best. I originally had a green-light laser done by a local urologist. I had complications from a laser burn which required 2 surgeries by Dr Burnett to correct. One of those was for an artificial urinary sphincter fixed the incontinence from the failed green-light laser. Dr Burnett will take as much time, or as little time with the patient that is required. As a world-renowned urologist, he will answer all your questions. In addition, every surgery that I have had has been a "team" effort. Following surgery, I always receive followup calls from Dr Burnett, and the assisting MD, as well as the JHU nurses... they are awesome. My situation has been ongoing since 2016. I feel that, had I first opted to put my urological care into the hands of Dr Burnett and team, I never would have had the issues I am faced with now. Dr… Burnett has given me back the ability to move about in society, free of saturated diapers, smelling of urine, etc. I count my blessings for having found him, and Brady Urology, every day.

Appointment scheduled for 9:00. At 10:40. Still waiting for the doctor. Nurse was great at keeping us updated. After conversations with nurse it was clear our appointment was not a priority to this doctor. Subsequent follow up with patient services explanation was that he had an emergency procedure. Follow up with Dr Burnett indicated something different. Really quick to throw the nurses under the bus and blame them. Glad we left. This doctor clearly deserves a low rating

Back in 2003, Dr. Burnett "straightened" me out. A great surgeon and a greater man.

You may have to wait a little bit to see him but it's worth the wait. Dr. Burnett, is very thorough and will take the time to answer all of your questions.

Dr. Burnett is a top-notch surgeon with superb people skills. I cannot praise him enough. My husband had prostate cancer. The diagnosis is scary; Dr. Burnett carefully and calmly laid out the alternatives (with pros and cons), and helped us think intelligently about the decision. We asked Dr. Burnett to perform the surgery and he cured the cancer. It was a tricky case, but Dr. Burnett was also able to save both nerve bundles. Also immediately after catheter removal, my husband had almost no urinary incontinence. He was walking (short distances) in the neighborhood the first week after surgery. Throughout the surgery and recovery, Dr. Burnett was gracious, kind, compassionate, and extremely skilled. In my opinion, you could find no better surgeon for prostate cancer.

Excellent doctor. Top notch care. He's one of the best. Treated my father's Prostate Cancer. We drove 8 hours for surgery. He was easy to communicate with, patient and made us feel like we were more than a number. Personal care given. Highly recommend!
