Really helped a lot

I told Dr Wu that I had frequent coughing spells due to prosthetic vocal cord. I've had cough for 7 years. I was using Ipratropium Bromide spray to reduce frequency. He said not to worry because he would fix that during surgery. FABULOUS! Has made huge improvement in my life. NO MORE COUGH.

I would highly recommend Dr Wu to my friends.

I was very pleased with Dr Wu & his assistant.

I accompanied my son ( the patient) to discuss the concerns that he/ us have about his anosmia since he went by himself to the first visit ( last year) and we didn't get any result from Dr Wu's limited recommendations. So I wanted to jnow If there are other options at all. He was talking over me, didn't bother to turn his chair and have a conversation with me. He didn't even bother to spend some time to elaborate the diagnosis and treatment options . He was like this is what we call " idiopathic anosmia" we don't know why it's happened and basically there's no treatments other than what I told you last year to try different essential oils!!! After I asked about the possibility of polyps or any structural abnormalities, he said we did a mri last year and didn't show anything. He put the nasal speculum in nostrils for 1-2 seconds ( not exaggerating ) with no lights or close observation and he was like " nope no polyps". As a responsible dr. This is not the way that you talk to a 19 yo… patient who has no to low sense of smell. I told dr Wu this condition is affecting my son's self esteem, he constantly wants to shower and clean himself, "being scared of smelling like sweat". Or he can't enjoy food or different aroma. How in The world you tell a 19 yo that unfortunately this is what it is. Dr Wu, you need to think about the effect or power of the words that come out of your mouth. I don't mean to sugar coat a diagnosis, but a touch of compassion in practicing medicine is a must. You took the hope away from a young man who came to you looking for solutions, and this is what I call " irresponsible ".
