I have suffered with AI disorders for 30+ years. I went to Dr. Diaz upon referral from my PCP, because I was having a tremendous number of autoimmune (AI) symptoms and we could not figure out the best course of action. After I read through (no joke) 2 full pages of symptoms, making sure to tell Dr. Diaz everything, he asked me about a prozac prescription given to me a few years earlier (for insomnia issues -- but it actually made my insomnia worse). After that, it was clear that Dr. Diaz assumed I was just another hysterical female and proceeded to tell me that I needed to "Wipe autoimmune completely from my head" because I did not have AI disease. Seriously. One year later, I have been formally diagnosed with Celiac's Disease, Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Raynauds, Fibromyalgia, RA and possibly even a digestive AI, due to the fact that I have 8 stomach ulcers with no explanation. Thankfully I got an immediate second opinion rather than listening to this typical, ego-driven male doctor.

Dr. Diaz has been my Rheumatologist for a few years. One of my favorite doctors. He has a quiet relaxed manner. Will take time to talk to you. And, his diagnosis is great.
