Dr. D. Hill, MD

I have been going to Dr Hill since 1997 and found him to be absolutely wonderful. While he did not deliver either of my two children he was with me through a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and various other gynacological issues. I am sure that there are lots of OB's that are good BUT dealing with a woman's loss and grief requires a whole other skill set.

I wish I could give 10 stars for bedside manner. Dr. Hill is the nicest doctor I have ever seen. I had a complicated c-section with my last pregnancy and had a low placenta this time and needed another section. Dr. Hill found a lot of scar tissue and other problems but he was cool as can be and did a great job with my section. The surgery nurse told me that he takes care of a lot of doctors and nurses. That's good enough for me! I really appreciate him and his office team.

not all pregnancy end happy but Dr Hill was there when my son was born and he was so kind and explained everything very well and took the time to just listen in what i had to say and hopefully my next pregnancy will end happy and i can work with Dr.Hill again

I have been seeing Dr. Hill for 15 years. He has helped see me through the birth of my 3 children, several scares with bad Pap smears, a twisted ovary, and has given me advice over the years on many of my health care issues. Every doctor has a medical license, but not all doctors are the same. No other doctor has sat down with me and made me feel like the only person they care for. Having a doctor that I completely trust is immeasurably valuable to me. Dr. Hill, and his team, have been there for me and my family over the years. Thank you Dr. Hill.

Dr hill made me feel like i was his only patient when my son was born he is fun it like hanging out with one of your friends when he around i will be going back for my second child

Dr. Hill is a RockStar! He recently removed 5 large fibroid tumors (one double the size of my uterus)and my left fallopian tube through a laparoscopic myomectomy. As a new patient I had a lot of trepidations about whether I would get compassionate care. He exceeded any doubts I had. The total time of my surgery was five hours and required an overnight hospital stay.When I woke up I was in tremendous pain but Dr. Hill called that night to make sure I was able to tolerate the pain & see if I needed stronger pain medications. Throughout this entire process he constantly makes sure I have been treated well by his office staff as well as the hospital staff. The only problem is when you find such a rockstar physician, everyone else is aware of the same thing. So try to book your annual exams early. I have finally found my new gynecologist. Happy Dance!!!

My husband and I waited 5 years for our new baby so when I found out I was pregnant I was determined to find the best OB in Orlando. I asked every nurse I knew and even called the labor and delivery floors of the local Hospitals and time after time Dr. Hill's name was mentioned. I was never disappointed in the care I received at Loch Haven and was very impressed by every doctor in the practice, but Dr. Hill is the reason I chose Loch Haven and I was incredibly blessed that he was the Dr on-call when we had our sweet little girl. He was attentive, funny, and wonderfully impressive. I had a complicated compound presentation but because of Dr. hill it all seemed very easy and stress free. My husband said it seemed like he had 4 sets of hands because he was doing so many things at once. I highly, HIGHLY recommend him! He helped to make the birth of our daughter the happiest day of my life!

Fabulous doctor!! Dr. Hill did surgery to fix my endometriosis cyst on my ovaries, which helped me get pregnant. He was there for my delivery and it was an incredibly special experience for my husband and my mom and I. He is just so comfortable to talk with and super gentle.

This is a shout out to Dr. Hill for saving my life. I had an abnormal mammogram and truthfully I was not very worried. Dr. Hill called me to tell me that the report was vague, and that he wasn't super worried, but that the safest thing was to have a biopsy. I wasn't going to do it, but he was very sincere and I went ahead and had the biopsy, and it turns out I have an early cancer with a great prognosis. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years, and I have never had a doctor listen to me or spend so much time with me. This is someone who really likes what he does, respects people, and cares deeply about his patients.

I have been going to this practice for many years but only started seeing Dr. Hill after I couldn't get an OB appt on the day I needed with my regular dr there when I was about 6 months pregnant with my first baby last year (2011) and continued seeing him. I AM SO HAPPY I DID!! I LOVE Dr. Hill!! There are many good dr's at Loch Haven but Dr. Hill is by far the best!! He spends A LOT of time talking to you at each visit, answers all your questions and truley cares about the health and well being of you and your baby! I ended up having to have a c-section and was lucky enough to have him preform it. I actually got compliments from the nurses and other dr's at the hospital on my incision and how well the surgrey was done! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hill to anyone pregnant or not wanting a caring, thorough, very intelligent doctor!

Dr. Hill is Amazing! I have been to many doctors and I certainly believe that he is the best doctor that has cared for me. Dr. Hil has great bedside manners, is very caring and is extremely knowledgeable.

I have had two very different birth experiences and now know why picking the right doctor is critically important. My recent delivery with Dr. Hill was incredible. My labor was stalled and my baby's heart rate was not looking go, and I was worried about having a c-section. He and his partners stay in the hospital 24/7 so he came and sat with my husband and I several times and reassured us that he was nowhere near advising a cesarean. He went over the fetal monitor, changed my position to make the heart rate better, explained the "game plan" and answered our questions patiently. Sure enough, I delivered naturally. Contrast that with my first pregnancy, where the doctor showed up as I was crowning and tried to cut an episiotomy even though I didn't need one, and talked down to my husband and I when I wasn't pushing the way he wanted. I can't stress enough that NOT ALL DOCTORS ARE THE SAME. Ladies, please do your homework and pick your doctor by his or her qualifications and reputation, not by how shiny the hospital is or how close the office is to your house. Your health and your baby's health are too important not choose the best doctor.

Great bedside manner. Dr. Hill came highly recommended by a doctor friend of mine, who said he is "the best in Orlando." My problem is very complicated but Dr. Hill honed in on the issues that were bothering me very quickly and helped me to make a plan that worked for me. I have a history of endometriosis and pelvic pain and trying to get pregnant. His exam was easily the most gentle but thorough exam I have ever had. My husband and I now get to start the fun part of our plan to get pregnant :) Thanks, Dr. Hill! You're great.

I was a very worried due to some complications I had toward the end of my pregnancy. After I went into labor I was admitted to the hospital, and Dr. Hill came by a short time later. He sat down with my husband and I, showed us how the fetal monitor worked and why it looked reassuring, and went through what we could expect over the next few hours. He was calm, professional, funny, and incredibly reassuring. Later that night he delivered our little girl, and made it an amazing experience. I would recommend him and his partners at Loch Haven to anyone who wants a great birth experience.

Before seeing Dr. Hill I did not have good luck with doctors. I have always been very modest so it takes me a while to get comfortable divulging private information to anyone, even doctors. A girl in one of my classes told me the Dr. Hill takes care of her and her mom, so I made an appointment. I don't know how to describe it any better, but he made me feel super comfortable, and told me we didn't have to talk about everything the first visit. I was surprised to find that the exam was no big deal for the first time ever. He's really a unique doctor and person.

Dr. Hill rocks! I have been to probably 10 ob/gyn doctors over the past 3 years trying to figure out what was causing painful relations with my husband. It got to the point where we could not enjoy any intimate time together without extreme pain. It was very frustrating and even though my husband was supportive, it was starting to cause problems in our marriage. One of my friends sees Dr. Hill for her annual exams, and spoke so highly about him that I made an appointment. At first I didn't believe him when he examined me the first time and said "I'm pretty sure I know what's wrong." I had vulvar vestibulitis and vaginal wall muscle spasms. He referred me to a pelvic floor physical therapist, and I used an ointment for a few months, and after about 2 months I am now pain-free for the first time in years! During my second visit he asked my to bring my husband so he could reassure us both that this was not in my head and that we would work together to find a solution. Absolutely amazing. I can't believe it took so many years to find the right doctor.

I'm a student nurse. I got to see Dr. Hill in action one morning and was floored by how calm he was when a patient showed up with a true life and death emergency. While directing his team to get the operating room set up, he calmly talked to the patient and her family, reassuring them that even though this was a serious problem (the baby was dying due to a problem with the placenta), that he had done this many times and that when the patient awakened she would have a baby. From the time he made the incision to the time the baby was born was less than 45 seconds. This is insanely fast! The baby came out blue, but after a few minutes of resuscitation, it started crying! It was amazing. Most people don't realize that not every doctor is the same. My husband and I now know who will deliver our baby when we get pregnant.

Dr. Hill is a fabulous doctor. I was frustrated with my former gyn so, on the advice of a coworker, made an appointment to see Dr. Hill. I had 2 main problems, heavy periods and possible exposure to a sexual infection. Dr. Hill was just awesome. He listened without judging me, suggested blood tests and cultures (all normal!) and later did a cool ultrasound test that showed a small fibroid in my uterine lining. He even (kindly) offered some advice about how many "bad" infections are running around these days, and reminded me to be safe. I have had 3 visits so far and every time he has been fantastic. The last time I visited a patient brought him lunch as a gift for helping her get pregnant! How cool is that?!
