Dr. Ashok Valjibhai Patel, MD

I work with physicians day in and day out for 12 years. Mostly radiologist and surgeons... my experience with Dr Patel was he is in the wrong profession. He was by far the worst experience I have had with any physician in my life. His approach flippint, he is not passionate it seems about health and patients I am disgusted with my care and never write reviews. Highly recommend trying someone else.

Dr Patel saw my mother for a Lewy Body issue and I found him to be extremely patient, kind and engaged. He listed to our concerns, gave excellent medical feedback with explanations as to why he formed his opinions, and left the door open for us to call or return with any questions or concerns. We are so happy to have found a doctor that can treat dimentia as an entire illness of the body/brain, not just a select area surrounding the many aspects of dementia. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to families dealing with loved ones suffering from vascular dementia.

Dr. Patel is horrible and can not be bothered to listen patients. It seems like he is this to make a quick dollar off our misfortunes. He wil not read your history and even if he does good luck! He talked me out of getting the surgery I needed then dropped me when I didn’t have the surgery. Save yourself the grief and stay away.

He did not do the basic work of reviewing my chart before seeing me. He was condescending, cruel, and I believe he profiled me. I believe this because he refused to treat me and did not believe my headaches were real. As a disabled person there is no excuse for such discrimination and unprofessionalism. I walked out on him in tears after 20 minutes of trying to educate him on my health conditions. HE THEN CALLED ME 15 MINUTES LATER AND TOLD ME HE WOULD SEE IF I COULD GET APPROVAL FOR BOTOX THERAPY AND IF I DID, HE WOULD AGREE TO TREAT ME. He obviously read my chart AFTER I walked out. I was approved and now I will make him treat me and do it with respect.

Dr. Patel was AWFUL! I walked out in tears! HE DIDN'T READ MY CHART!! He dismissed my illness and refused to treat me. I kept explaining my history and illness and previous treatments, but he just kept saying I will not treat you. Once I walked out he must have read my history because he called me about 15 minutes later and agreed to treat me if my insurance gave approval. Sick people DO NOT EVER DESERVE TO BE TREATED THIS WAY!

Went to Dr Patel to help me better understand and further diagnose my Ataxia Disease.

I find that Dr Patel is not always very easy to talk to. I get the feeling that he holds back information and that I have to pull it out of him. Also, I feel that he is may not have been prepared for my appointments, I could tell he hadn't looked at my chart/records prior to the appointment.

Fantastic Doctor, Knowledgeable, intelligent, caring, prepared and honest. I highly recommend. Office wait is because of being early. Nurse is very good as well.
