Helped me when I was younger. Then helped get my 4 week old baby diagnosed with pyloric diagnosis. Went down to ultrasounds himself. Called the head of surgery, got us in. Gave me his personal cell phone number just in case. Highly recommend

Back when I was a teenager, I developed serious upper GI issues that went un-diagnosed for nearly two years as doctors could not figure out the root of my symptoms. My parents decided to try a third GI specialist, Dr. Katz. He was a breath of fresh air and within weeks he gave me a diagnosis and treated me. I continued to see Dr. Katz for follow-up visits until my mid-twenties. The care I received from him, the nurse practitioners, nurses, dietician, and administrative staff in his office was truly exceptional.

My son has seen Dr. KATZ since he was 15 months old. We love him as a physician and a person. Trust him with my child's future . Our son has EoE and Dr. KATZ goes above and beyond. Also his staff at Waltham is Amazing!!!

Dr Katz is unique. He has a confidence about him that he deserves to have, and has very high professional standards. He puts the patient first, and assured us that we would be in good care. He was kind to my son when he had an endoscopy and Dr Katz made it all ok. He was very quick to get back to me with results, and respected all of my questions. Wish we had found him sooner!!!

Dr.Katz is one of the main reasons I am alive today and I could not be more grateful. I spent 12 years with him and never had a bad experience.

Dr. Katz and the nutritionist are excellent. Made us feel very comfortable. Probably the highest level pedi gi group in the country right in Waltham. Nice.

Dr Katz has been amazing with 2 of my children. Both of my kids had issues with reflux as babies, one was severe. Dr. Katz is knowledgable and kind. He listens and teaches. He wants to know what the parents are thinking and he responds to concerns. After he did a proceedure on my daughter, in the recovery room he said to me, "I learned a long time ago to listn to a mother's intuition". Amazing doctor. It is by the grace of God and the expertise of Dr. Katz that my 2 children are thriving today.

I went in feeling confident that he was a senior doctor in the practice. He did a series of tests which made me feel good that a few things were being done. He addressed most of my questions. However, being my first appointment with a child with an ongoing issue, I had a lot of questions. When telling of a family disease history & inquiring about the possibility, I did not appreciate being told, "You watch too much TV." I have a follow up appointment but I am thinking of going elsewhere specifically because of that comment and his casual attitude. For our Lactose Intolerance test, I was told it was a 3 hour test with an exam to follow. We were there 5 hours & 15 minutes. We were left alone in the room first waiting for the dietician then after she left waiting again for Dr. Katz. I had to ask if he was coming back. I was told yes but it seemed like a long time to wait.

Knowledgable man who is a caring physician and cautious about just doling out scripts. Exhausted different avenues in a professional manner. Made suggestions for practical modalities that may be beneficial outside of his own mode of practice. In evaluating his bedside manner, I feel he could relax a bit more when conversing with the child. I think he may be taken as a little gruff when in actuality he is a very, kind and caring healer who shared his concerns over my child's good outcome, whether or not that outcome would take place within his MGH office. Excellent follow-up procedures.
