Dr. August Joseph Maggio Jr, MD

Dr. Mazzio is one of the finest doctors that I have ever been associated with and I am 81 years old. His professionalism is beyond reproach he is extremely competent and very concerned with all this patient’s health.

Dr. Maggio is absolutely a Top Tier doctor. He truly cares about his patients and actually shows it. Not only is he probably the most thorough doctor I have ever had, but his treatment doesn't stop with his specialty. He makes sure you are getting proper treatment from any other doctor seeing you and gives you questions to ask them. If he isn't the best doctor to treat you, he will refer you to who is(which he did for me). Then when I was having trouble with that referral spent close to 30 minutes on the phone calming me down, relating to me on a personal level, and ensuring that the outcome will greatly outweigh these minor issues. His professionalism is the same with his staff and they all know you by first name.

In addition to the high marks I have given him with respect to his expertise, diagnostic capabilities and professional decorum there is one additional practice that stands out. When he reviews your test results or feels something special needs to be done he is exemplary in quickly following up with you. He calls you rather than keeping you waiting. Even if the issue may not be exactly in his area of practice he will advise you to consult on the matter with your regular physician. Never once have I had to call back to find out the results of a testhe has always contacted me as soon as he had reviewed the information.
