Dr. Autumn Marie Stowe-Quain, MD

I Arrived at the hospital thinking I was in labor for the birth of my second daughter. The monitor was not registering contractions even though I was in visible agony. My family pointed out to the nurse about my previous uterine surgery as they were concerned that it could be the cause of my pain. This fact was not address even hours after my family expressed their concern. I subsequently had a uterine rupture which resulted in the loss of 3.5L of my blood and my daughter was born with a depressed skull fracture and HIE resulting in her being admitted to the NICU for 9 days. We reached out to Dr. Stowe-Quain to try and get answers and she will not return our calls.

Dr Quain is simply amazing in every way! She listens and answers any questions you have. She truly cares about her patients!

I have been seeing Dr. Stowe-Quain for my second pregnancy and she has been wonderful. She is pro VBAC but not in a way that is pushy- she has made it clear the decision is ultimately up to me what I decide. She is patient and answers all my questions carefully and thoughtfully. I feel comfortable and confident in her care and would recommend her to any pregnant person

I’ve been seeing Dr. Stowe-Quain for 4 years and 2 babies now... she’s very direct, caring and knowledgeable. She has always taken the time to answer my questions and talk about my concerns. Even when I’m not sure what I’m trying to say, she’ll sit with me until I figure it out. I never feel rushed and she makes it known that when she’s with me, I have her full attention

Dr. Stowe-Quain is one of the most thorough and professional doctors I have ever seen. I am about 30 weeks pregnant and switched to this office after having a bad experience at another. She has always made me feel comfortable and spends as much time as I need with her. Sometimes the wait time is long to see her, but it's because she doesn't rush her patients. She makes sure to answer every little question we have.

My first visit, they sent me back to see the wrong Dr. Apparently another lady had the same first name as me, it was embarrassing and awkward. Then I'm seeing the practitioner (Stacy) who just shuffles me through different forms of birth control and I do the research on what one would work best for me while suffering through immensely painful menstral periods that make me bed ridden for two to three days every month. I get pain meds yet they make me sleep all the time and I have two teenagers and work alot. Then Stacy moves away and I'm left with yet another practioner ( I can't even remember her name) and I'm telling her what birth control to put me on and what meds to help me make it through my periods and pray I'm not working without a pain med that wont make me sleepy. I wake up some mornings shaking and wanting to throw up because of my horrendous cramping. So we do another ultrasound yet everything looks ok from that. Once I start talking about surgery I finally get scheduled… with the actual Dr. Autumn Stowe-Quain. She's all for the surgery and talks to me like its no big deal, very routine. Being a single mother, I tell her I have to save a couple months for the time off work to recover and then I call needing a refill on pain meds ( its been two months since my last refill of hydrocodone,the only thing that i can work on and not get super sleepy, plus i break every pill in half) and her snippy assistant says that I've used the pain meds too long and apparently need pain management. Well I guess if one of these practioners or the Dr ACTUALLY knew what was wrong with me and could help me through everything, I wouldn't have waited so long to find a new Dr. I shouldn't be the one to tell them what birth control I need to help my heavy bleeding and horrendous cramps. I shouldn't be the one trying to figure out all my meds. I never once felt cared for or like anyone really wanted to help me. I guess if I was military it would be different. Its been OVER A YEAR and still no progress. Then they don't want go help me through my pain and help me figure out what's going on besides the obvious while I'm still trying to work and save to get surgery from this lady?No thanks, I'm looking for a new Dr. Very disappointed.

I would not recommend Dr. Stowe-Quain to anyone, my expierence has been horrible with her. I don't know if it's because this is my third pregnancy, and she feels I am a pro at this or what, what she spends and average of 1-1/2minutes in the room with me. Sure this is my third pregnancy, but also my first pregnancy with twins, so I am scared, and everything is totally different. Unfortunately, she is not the compassionate doctor I thought she would be. I chose her because in her mission statement, she said she will treat all of her patients like her mother, sister, daughter, and friend, now here I am 34weeks pregnant, and will be finding a new OBGYN this week. Being pregnant with multiples should be considered a little riskier than being pregnant with a singleton, I know I recieved more attention and better care when I was pregnant with 1 my last two pregnancies.

I absolutely loved my time with Dr. Stowe-Quain. She is a kind, thoughtful and patient doctor, who is willing to answer all my questions. I love how she asks repeatedly, â??What other questions do you have?â?? rather than just answering the first round of questions and moving on. She spends as much time with you as you need, and is reassuring, thorough and thoughtful. Although Iâ??m unable to deliver with her because of high-risk complications that have developed for me, she was willing to co-manage care with my other doctors and has followed up consistently with me. Her nurse is always available and calls back within 24 hours whenever possible. She clearly states that she prefers vaginal deliveries, and wonâ??t go the c-section route unless itâ??s absolutely necessary. She is calm, thoughtfulâ??and fun and funny. Donâ??t let her newness in the practice throw you at allâ??she is amazing, and Iâ??ve been so happy with my care from her.
