Azita Abtin

I have seen Dr. Abtin on and off since 2012. She has been most insightful and helpful with some recent hard life issues of a dealing with a third cancer diagnosis and with the loss of a most beloved father. She has helped me acceptance and staying in the moment. She has also recommended good resource books to read which I have railed against but when I get into them I understand why and are most beneficial. I to I would highly recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr. Abtin for several years. Originally, I was seeing her to feel better and I did get better! Now, I see her for maintenance and to help keep me on the right track. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Abtin as she is very intuitive, empathetic, helpful, professional and respectful. In addition, she has a unique way of putting things in proper perspective. I highly recommend her.

My wife and I have been seeing the very talented Dr. Abtin for several years - through thick and thin, as people say. We were struggling with politics at our jobs, and we were allowing that to affect our marriage. Thankfully, Dr. Abtin helped us (and continues to help us) work through both! Her military background is impressive and probably lends to how she meticulously and gracefully handles business. She is very efficient and upfront about any paperwork that needs to be completed. In fact, it is seamless and never takes away from our sessions. She has even saved me money when she noticed that my copay had lowered due to my insurance policy changing-- I didn’t even catch that! We always feel that Dr. Abtin treats us fairly and with respect. She is consistent with her policies regarding cancelation, and tardiness. She is flexible when emergencies happen, and is willing to work with us if we cannot make it (allowing phone sessions, etc). Her sessions are conversations, where we… problem-solve through story-telling to find our common humanity. She has taught me to listen and empathize, and come to terms with my ADHD and depression. Thank you for your wisdom and kindness, Dr. Abtin. Highly recommend, especially if you need a reality check, like I did.

I've been seeing Dr. Abtin for 2 years. We don't always have the words to express the difficult feelings we're going through, but Dr. Abtin always seems to find the right way to encourage us to find them. The stories she shares from her own life really send a powerful message: you're not alone in whatever you're experiencing.

I was referred to Dr. Abtin and I have been seeing her the last couple of years. She has helped me in many aspects through all the counseling I have had. I like that we have pets in common as well. I would definitely recommend her.

I saw Dr. Abtin for 4 years when I was going through grief of losing my spouse. Not only, I was able to cope with the loss with her help and guidance, she also helped me to have better relationship with my family. At one pint, I recommended three of my friends to go to her and few are still seeing Dr. Abtin. I am extremely pleased with this doctor. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Dr. Abtin is a great psychologist. I have seen her for few years. She is empathetic, competent, super professional. I like the fact that I got the paperwork before I even see her. She had all her fees disclosed. She actually saw me for one year foe minimal fee when I could not afford having insurance and had a sliding scale. I have been to many therapists in my life and she is by far the best doctor and the most caring. I recommend her to others without hesitation.
