Dr. Balaji Krishna Gupta, MD

I was referred to Dr. Gupta by my PCP after having eye issues. He was booked for a few months, in which I was okay with because it wasn't an emergency. I started having more symptoms, which impaired my vision a bit and it was difficult to see clearly & drive. I called Dr. Gupta's office asking if there was anything sooner and they asked me to come in that same day. Dr. Gupta was kind, friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. He explained in great detail what he saw, explained all possibilities that could have caused my eye symptoms. Explained thoroughly of his plan and what's next. I work in healthcare and my experience during this appointment was remarkable. Also, his recommendations and plan worked - my eyes are much better and doing great. Thank you!!!

The office staff is the WORST!!! I made an appointment for my daughter and the receptionist called to reschedule because the doctor wasn't going to be in the office that day after all. We showed up on the day the office rescheduled the appointment for and was told that the appointment had been cancelled. I asked why and the receptionist implied she didn't know why. I asked if there was a way my daughter could still be seen since we didn't cancel the appointment; we just drove 30 minutes for the appointment; and since it was an 8 a.m. Saturday appointment, we had been up since 6:30 a.m. The receptionist responded "no" and that I needed to "calm down" so she could reschedule. We opted to find another ophthalmologist office with a staff more interested in being helpful and assisting patients than chastising patients for a mistake that the office clearly made. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

My husband and I had been patients of Dr. Gupta when we were referred by our PCP in 2004. We retired, moved out of state but have continued to return on a regular basis for glaucoma treatment and cataract surgeries. Dr. Gupta is most knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything you need to know so you can make the best decision for your procedures. We feel he is the epitome of what a Great Doctor should be!

I have been going to Dr. Gupta for 3-4 yrs, its a 40 minute drive but worth it, I think he is one of the best opthamologist, Very Caring, provided great recommendation to help with my eye condition and helped facilitate with the immediate next steps. Professional, focused and friendly.

Very nice and personable and talented as a surgeon.There was one issue I was not happy about and felt I had to get a second opinion to be satisfied.

After reading positive reviews I made a appointment for my son, he happens to be closed to our place, he is very irritated and impatient with my son as well as when we ask questions. my son was anxious and little scared for testing instead of comforting him Dr. Gupta became very irritated, we felt very uncomfortable during entire visit, He may be good. unfortunately we never felt during our visit.

We have seen two other eye doctors for my now 4 year old son. Dr. Gupta was by far the best visit we have had yet. Dr. Ghay and Wheaton Eye Clinic had no bedside manner and were not very helpful. Dr. Gupta was kind and patient with my four year old and spent time explaining to me what I needed to know. His assistant, Mike was awesome as well!

Simply Awesome .. Just had my chalazions removed like 2 hours back and couldn't wait to write a review. I would highly recommend him ..

This is an outstanding eye doctor. He's very relaxed and extremely kind to his patients. Will spend as much time as you need. I would recommend him to any of my friends.

Dr. Gupta and his staff provides outstanding services and excellent patient care. My entire family is under Dr. Gupta's care!!
