Excellent doctor. When my primary dr. Retired last year I asked him which doctor he would recommend me see for primary care. He quickly said that all he could say is, Dr." Bala is the man other doctors go to for thier own medical care". Nuff SAID.

When informed of a policy that would have required me to schedule and pay for medically unnecessary appointments, I wrote a letter indicating I would find another doctor. His staff called, he wanted speak to me. Now he is claiming the meeting he asked for, to discuss leaving over medically unnecessary appointments, was a medical appointment. Scam. The only actual health issue I had in the years he was my Dr was missed, but was found and corrected at UCONN,

Although new to the medical scene in Bristol,Dr. Shanmugam is a breath of fresh air, he is current with his information and much more optomistic and caring than others in his area of expertise (infectious diseasses)
