Dr. Barbara Denysiak, MD

I don't like leaving a poor review but I think it should be known that I recieved terrible care while Dr. Denysiak was my primary care provider. I saw her twice after pretty significant IBS flare ups, and each time she only saw me for about 5 minutes. During each visit, she would say, "so do you want medication, or what?" Seriously, she said that to me, twice. Isn't it her job to help me figure out what is wrong, instead of just trying to perscribe something? Her daughter (same name, same practice) was slightly better, in that she spent more time with me. She perscribed anti-depressants to treat chronic pain due to IBS. I know this sometimes done to treat people with really bad chronic pain, but I'm 26 years old. It seems a little out there to jump to anti-depressants when there are other avenues to treat IBS. Now onto the office. Honestly, terrible. I requested my chart be sent to a new doctor after I moved. The office called me multiple times to tell me that 1) I owed them money for… the request (??), 2) I did not owe them money, 3) ask who was supposed to recieve the documents after they had recieved a fax request from my new doctor, 4) try to give me the chart instead of my new doctor, 5) again try to charge me for the printing/ faxing fee. It was ridiculous. I have never ever heard of a patient being charged for a printing/faxing fee for info being sent to a new doctor. If you have a chronic issue or are even seeking reliable primary care, I would look for a different doctor. So disappointing.

I have been under the care of Dr. Denysiak for over 5 years. I am presently a 69 year old male with an active life-style. I have read the negative reviews and each negative point attributed to either Dr. Denysiak or her staff is something that I have never experienced. She listens, affirmatively makes suggestions for improving my health, does not have an issue with questions, and even has a sense of humor when I complain about getting older. As patients, we have to remember that we are part of the equation too. If we present ourselves in a physician's office in a demanding or confrontational manner, we may trigger defensive responses from our health care providers that we may then perceive negatively.

I always hated to going in for appointments because she was unsympathetic and didn't listen to my concerns. When I insisted, she just pushed medication on me that made it worse. One day they seemed to not know my copay amount and charged me the wrong amount. Then sent an invoice to my sister?(Our names are similar) I called immediately, paid it and told them they sent it to the wrong person. Continued to get invoices under her name for three months. (Called every time to tell them its been paid and that my sister has never even been to her office) Now I am at a new doctor, but cannot for the life of me get needed paper I have been asking for for months. I called to have it mailed, never showed up. I called to come in and pick it up, its unavailable.

They won't take new patients even thought I was assigned to them by my Insurance Co.

Rude, rude is all I can say, doctor wants you to just go away, has no concern how you are, if you start to say she will cut you off. You have to ask about your blood work, she ruffles thru your file say all ok you ask for copy and no not ok, you question and she dismisses you and runs back to her desk. Her nurse tries to help, so sorry she has to work there. The coordinator will do nothing for you, well she will be rude, apparently she and Dr. Denziak agree on that. Office rudeness is their number one motto. I am appalled at the behavior, you will be very upset after your experience. Worse doctor I have ever been to, I have never written a review but this must be said. I am still in shock and shaking from the rudeness of this staff, minus 20 on any scale

This was by far the worst experience I've had in a doctor' office. In short, the office is dirty looking and disorganized. The receptionist is snotty, totally unsympathetic, and unforgivably rude to patients... both myself and others that I witnessed in my two short visits. The Doctor was not terrible, but I did not feel as if she listened, cared, or even paid attention to my health worries. She rushed me out the door and failed to bring up important information from my blood work, until I pointed it out when I asked for a copy. She tried to push a more expensive drug on me than my generic that worked fine. (While I waited in the room I could hear her talking with a drug rep. in the hallway, scheduling a dinner at Mr. A's. No wonder she wanted me to try the new drug!) I have never been made more uncomfortable. They have no business calling themselves healthcare professionals. This is the first time I have ever left an office due to poor level of service but I simply lost all faith in… their ability to be caring and professional. Stay away!!

Made me reconsider my lifestyle and helped me make positive changes diet/exercise rather than prescribing 4 different types of drugs for me. I'm now regulating my lipid profile with reducing my weight as well as maintainng adequate sugar levels throughout the day and Dr. Denysiak is kind enough to encourage and keep me on track. I think I might owe her my life....When I first came in to see her a year and a half ago, I weighted 240 pounds and am 5ft 8in. Now, I'm down to 189pounds and still dropping. The healthy way! Love Dr.D! The staff is nice too, I'm not sure why everyone else is having a problem?

I have been a patient for over 15 years and there is no other doctor i would consider going to. Her staff has been wonderful especially her nurse, Serena. I would recommend Dr. Denysiak to any one, and i have.

Dr. D really makes a point to respect your time. I came into the office with my issue with my recurrent bronchitis and she explained the reasons for it's recurrence, my treatment options and showed compassion when I told her it had affected my sleeping. It was my first visit with her and she was able to make me feel secure, comfortable and she even made me laugh a few times. very personable, extremely diligent, and caring. If i could, I'd give her 5 stars. thanks dr. denysak!

I came into visit Dr.D and was pleasantly surprised by her new office, staff and the quality of care Dr. D provided me. I was referred to Dr. D by my girlfriend. Dr. D detected the early stages of her malignant breast cancer and thankfully, my friend Sandra is a survivor!! It's been 5+ years!! THANK YOU DOCTOR DENYSIAK and I'm so happy to have my life in your hands!!! YOURE THE BEST!
