Dr. Barry Blitz

The doctor is great! The office staff is uncoordinated, inept, lacks focus, bad patient relations! Call five times this week, got through, they could only take a message and pass it to the nurse, left one every day for four days in a row. Got a text message stating that we should call for an appoint for treatments. I said okay. They wouldn't schedule one because it needed the doctor's approval even though he had written in the patient history that we should come in for 3 treatments in six months. The staff also said they had to be in a row. I told them that to get them in a row, it had to happen today because we leave town after that. No call. Called again today and the staff said someone would call me back. They said that for the last four days. They also forget to order the "treatment" stuff. They also cancel because they say that they didn't receive the insur. authorization. They don't do stuff in time! I don't know why they are not tracking stuff and make me call.

After seeing a urologist due to a prostate problem and being told "after the meds stop working we generally take the prostate out". I began to search for another urologist. I was fortunate to have found Dr Blitz. He confirmed that there are other avenues we could take. Today I no longer have any problems and I still have my prostate. My situation speaks volumes for any man that having any prostate issues.

When you call, if you DO get a person (rare) then they say 'please hold', then 20 minutes later they hang up on you. That happened to me 3 times in a row. Every other option asks for you to leave a number and they 'will call you at our earliest convenience'. I have stage 4 Prostate Cancer. I need treatment and information and help. Evidently they are too busy saving money to buy new boats than to actually, you know, hire a person to talk to people or make appointments. This is supposed to be the 'Prostate Cancer' go-to place. Looks like I'm just supposed to die.

Lets get to the important part of this review. Mr. Blitz is an arrogant rude disrepestful individual, he doesn't deserve the title of Doctor. On Dec. 12, 2018 I had a visit with Mr. Blitz, and during the visit my wife and I were sitting there, and Mr. Blitz, turned around and started typing on his lap top computer. After several minutes, I had to ask Mr. Blitz if we were all done, or did he want to discuss the visit with us. Without looking at us he stated, "Yes, unless you want to sit here and watch me type." His demeanor was arrogant, rude, and disrepctful towards my wife and I. Mr. Blitz NEVER said, we are all done...have a good day.....see you next visit, NOTHING was said. Mr. Blitz should take his medication before he goes to work. I do not write reviews, but this guy deserves this one!

I am surprised to see some of the one star comments; I've been going to Blitz for 10 years for prostate cancer. From the very beginning he seemed smart, knowledgeable and an authority on the subject. From surgery to surgery to radiation he was excellent. My results are good, my last PSA, a few months ago, shows no signs of cancer. His bedside manner towards me and my wife has always been great. He is direct and to the point. Most of the times I get in for my appointments at, or around, appointment time. Occasionally it take a while to get taken back. For me he is great!

Would not recommend this office, very unprofessional from the moment you walk in. Dr. Blitz has zero compassion, and even worse bedside manners. Fits right in with the office staff. He also misdiagnosed my husband, last visit we would have there. Save your time and your money and find another office.

He made me very comfortable, and was very knowledgeable about my condition. I have peronie disease which is embarrassing enough in itself. But he was very good about explaining my options. I am going back to schedule surgery, so I am pretty confident in his ability. Did a lot of research on him and the procedure, and you should too. One of the better things about the internet.

He might be a good doctor but he has no people skills! He was very rude and disrespectful. His Team is excellent and very nice...he should take some lessons from them on how to deal with people!

I first started seeing Dr. Blitz in the ER because of a kidney stone which was very painful. I was admitted into the hospital Dr. Blitz took good care of me. When I got out of the hospital Dr. Blitz still let me see him even though I had no health insurance. It was worked out for me to make payments. Dr. Blitz is an awesome doctor. He is a good listener and he has excellent communication skills with his patients. He will go over everything with you. I know he has taken good care of a lot of other patients. His schedule Mary makes sure that you get the right procedure date. It is great to know that we have such a good doctor to depend on.
