Dr. Barry Neal Lumpkins, MD

My most memorable visit with Lumpkins was the last visit I had. His nurse looked at my RX files at my pharmacy and saw where I had pain pills from the surgeon who had just done my breast reduction. When Lumpkins heard this he got mad. He came in the exam room and went nuts on me. His face was red and he really frightened me. He told me I was only to get my pain meds from him. He acted like a jealous lover over that fact. He told me to leave his office and not come back. Ofcourse I was upset, embarrassed and crying. None of the staff would answer any of my questions. Everyone in the waiting room saw and heard everything. It was one of the most horrible experience I ever had in my life. But in the end I found a doctor who really does help me and all in all he did me a favor. Good riddance Lumpkins!!!!!

Excellent doctor who doesn't waste time and listens and thoroughly checks you out.

Hands down the best Doctor I've seen with a great pursuit to care for not 'just what you came in for' but, also you overall as happy and healthy individual, not to mention a fantastic personality from himself and his staff to boot. I won't go anywhere else! Great people work here and I cannot thank them all enough! If you do have to wait, it's more than worth it.

Would not let this doctor work on a corpse. His nurse thinks she is the doctor. I would not recommend this doctor.

Never shows up. Wait time is 3 hours

The office opens at 8:30 but you'll be lucky if Dr. Lumpkins shows up before 10 am. Lisa, the receptionist is rude. As far as the doctor, he is competent and likeable. Just wish the average visit didon't take 3 hours. Based on that, I would not recommend.

A friend recommended Dr. Lumpkins to me. He does not take appointments so I arrived at his office early in the morning. Actually, I didn't have to wait too long to be called back. However, after I had talked with the nurse, I waited 45 minutes before the doctor arrived. He was friendly but very abrupt and acted like he was trying to catch a plane or something. It was all very rushed. I was also very disappointed that his nurse would not return phone calls. I tried contacting his office 3 times for information about a prescription and my phone call was never returned.

I was looking for a physician in the area. I chose Dr. Lumpkins office due to location. I was very disappointed with Dr. Lumpkins. He rushed in and out of the room not even taking the time to introduce himself considering I was a new patient. I felt like I wasn't took seriously. His comments came off rude and short. I would not recommend this physician.

Dr. Lumpkins & His staff have been great to me in the past. (I was under his care until @ 2yrs ago)while i was living in Florence. He is always thorough, yet quick at the same time ~ IN a Good Way, i mean. If ever in the area and need a great Doctor then I Highly Recommend seeing him.

I was very pleased with Dr. Lumpkins. I definitely recommend him to others!
