Dr. Barry Richard Paull, MD

HORRIBLE. All Paull wants is your money; no concern for your well-being. I went to Dr. Paull and he told me the total cost of my testing would be $600. It ended up being $775. I was told my allergy shots would be free, and end after a 5 week period. They ended up being $150 each visit and I'm supposed to get shots over the next TWO YEARS. Not only this, but I was never given an epi-pen, which was bad when I went into shock. I came back to the office, only to find they had closed 30 minutes early. Not only this, but when I tried to call the office, the machine was off, with no number to call to speak to an on-call physician, which is required by liability laws. The ER trip that followed cost me $560. The next morning, after the ER called Paull's office, I was given a call and told that Paulll would CHARGE ME TO BE SEEN FOLLOWING SHOCK. I was only given a nurse to speak to over the phone, and told I couldn't come in. I went by later and requested my records. After asking for them three… separate times, and filling out release forms three times since they continually lost them, I was finally given them. However, my mother, who requested them weeks earlier than I, never received her copies for insurance purposes (I'm a college student). On a different tangent, Paull frequently used my time to discuss his hatred for Obama instead of my medical care. I also have a friend who is a medical student that told me he was extremely rude to her due to her being an African American. Basically, save your money and go somewhere else. Paull took advantage of a college student and swindled over $2,000 from me. The "all inclusive test" I was to receive only ended up covering plants and animals. Even after I told them I was possibly allergic to milk, I was not tested for any food allergies, which was over half the test. Please, go somewhere else. Do not give your money to the horrid man.

I came to see Dr Paull regarding my allergies. He came very highly recommended and I can see why. He and his staff were courteous and very helpful. He spent over an hour with me explaining everything. No wonder he was highly recommended. I also looked around and there are several postings that he is voted the #1 allergist in Brazos County. Thank Goodness for Dr's like him. I didn't feel rushed in the slightest. His whole staff is wonderful and made me feel like I was the ony patient there when in fact I was one of several in there that day. I'm going to have to take allergy injections but feel very comforatble. I had been to another allergist in college station who didnt treat me with any respect just hurded me through the clininc like cattle. Had no time to spend with me other than to say come back in two weeks if your not better. Dr Paull took care of me and thats all that matters. Thank You Dr Paull

Dr. Paull has a terrible beside manner. I came to see him in order to treat allergy and asthma symptoms that were negatively affecting my cystic fibrosis, a genetic lung disease I was diagnosed with at birth. Not only did Dr. Paull question whether I actually HAD cystic fibrosis, he utterly ignored my comments regarding my specific genetic mutations and family history of the disease. He treated me as if I was lying to him about having been diagnosed with this disease and wanted my medical records to prove my diagnoses. He asked me questions about my disease that were on par with asking a 15 year old genetic questions from high school biology (I honestly question his medical credentials). I am 28 years old and I have a PhD in a science field. I am VERY well-versed in the causes, treatment and manifestation of my cystic fibrosis as well as the latest clinical research in the field. I was offended, upset, and left my appointment in tears because he was so disrespectful and… condescending to me. The medical profession is a service field. I expect my doctors to listen to me when I discuss my symptoms, rather than interrupting me and telling me to be quiet, as well as believe that I am not lying about having a quite awful genetic disease that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. If you have cystic fibrosis, please consider seeing another allergist because Dr. Paull is simply disrespectful and high on his own ego.
