Excellent care for my chronic GERD condition and other GI needs.

I was patient to him and very very very great Dotor I know and the best help with problems And understand what you mean about and diagnosed them the best great job on his patience in care for patient.

Very unprofessional. An absolute nightmare to schedule an appointment with. Made an appointment with Perkins months in advance only to have it cancelled. His office never contacted me regarding this matter. Good luck actually talking with the good doctor as you will likely only get appointments with his minions who have to Google symptoms. Save yourself some time and go to WebMD.

First visit went well. Personable doctor. Wanted me to get test. I had to schedule and did. I was never called with results. Then office personnel called to see how I was doing on diet I never received because no one called re: test results. I was told to look up a diet on the internet and return to see a nurse practitioner. If you are looking for someone to tell you to schedule your own test, look up info on internet re: results not given, and see a nurse practitioner this dr is for you.

I am a very complex case and unexpectedly my previous doctor quit her practice and moved out of state. I needed a intelligent, insightful, skilled gastro doctor that would take on a patient that is Murphy's law to medicine . I met with Dr. Perkins and he was very straight, concise with me in discussing my case and it's needs. He was personable but shot from the hip letting you know where you stood and what was needed. Dr. Perkins agreed to take me on as a patient and immediately started tests to get a base line on me and a basic plan of treatment. I can not say how much I am impressed by his knowledge, bed side manner, skill and forthright observations. You can talk and discuss with him and he actually listens offering comments along the way. My son inherited the same medical problems as I did and after meeting Dr. Perkins after on of my procedures has decided he is the doctor for him too. I just can not recommend Dr. Barry with enough high regard. I think he would be an… excellent choice for anyone needing a great gastro doctor.

If you go to this doctor with any past history of alcohol or drug use, be prepared to be treated like a piece of dirt. I was even with years of continuous sobriety.

Dr. Perkins has been taking care of my mom for over 12 years and has always been so kind, patient, and caring to her. We love him
