excellent care

Dr. Singer is on the cutting edge of innovative medications and resources for MS. I was in denial for the 1st 2 years until my next episode. He was very kind, patient and thorough with me and my final acceptance of my diagnosis. He was the 3rd neurologist I looked into with detail. I am so very glad I selected him. He also determined my NMO status that nobody else could find. When I was confused and angry that my MS could not be instantly fixed, he and his staff were patient with my annoyance and annoyingly frequent calls and questions. He also was able to almost stop my spasms that hurt like the dickens. I have referred many MS patients to him and appreciate him so much!!!

I have been going to doc Singer for about 2-3 yrs now, and yes they have tried several new FDA approved meds with little success. but the one who has REALLY been there for me is Heather Popham, his nurse practitioner! SHE should be running the office! I hardly see him, aNd when I do, he ways lets her take.care of the "details"! He's very knowledgeable but When it comes to patient care and contact in that office, he is USELESS!!! Sorry, but that's the way it is, folks! She really is the only reason I am still going to see him. And I agree with the rest, calls take FOREVER TO BE RETURNED! so don't expect a callback that day or the next day. I once almost had to wait a WEEK, and then I CALLED and the staff acted rude with me!! The only no Ice staff member is Fran, but she makes appointments. Took them about 6 mos to get me on copaxone! I like Doctor Singer, he is a very good doctor, but his staff is very rude, and not very professional. If they have to do anything for you it is like you are bugging them or something. The only helpful people in his office is Fran and Candice. My medication dr. singer had prescribed for me never got faxed in to my pharmacy, causing me to have to wait over the weekend to contact them, and then having to drive another 40 miles round trip to go and get it. His staff is really rude and unprofessional and need a good kick in the pants and I hope someone reads this that can do something about it! I am seriously considering finding another doctor in spite of how much I love doctor singer, I just can't deal with his rude and unprofessional staff especially when I am paying high premiums for my insurance and office visits. They should treat their patients like they are patients, who are paying their salary esentialy and not treating the patients like someone who is just annoying them! I am… very very upset with his staff, and now I may have to go through the time and trouble to find another doctor and go through all this all over again. I pray this is not the case, but it might just be.

I have been going to Doctor Singer for several years now to help manage my MS. I would highly recommend him to anyone who suffers from MS. He is one of the most helpful and knowledgeable doctors in Saint Louis. Doctor Singer was able to provide me with relief of several serious afflictions that many other physicians and MS specialists were unable to help me with.

As someone who has struggled with MS, switching my care to Dr. Singer was an excellent move for me. My disease was not well controlled and I really had a hard time with my injections. He has really turned my situation around, fixing many of my symptoms and offering me new options for treatment. He is very responsive to me at my appointments and answers my questions.His staff is great and Heather Popham, his nurse practitioner, is also wonderful. They are busy but they do get back me in a timely manner. I feel truly blessed to have Dr. Singer taking such good care of me.

I wanted my blood test to include a B-12 level, he said I have to get from mt primary. FYI: Doc B-12 is needed for myelin production, as I said Clueless!I have had MS for 10yrs and know when I my be having a relapse, but his office says i HAVE to take the long drive to their office to get a simple steroid pack. Plus they take days if ever to call you backm

Dr. Singer has been an awesome fit for me. I want a neurologist who main focus is MS and he actually did the trials on new pill treatments. He spends the time to get know ME-my needs and concerns. True, his center sees lots of patients but that experience comes through when I new help with symptoms. His staff has been wonderful, very caring.

As someone recently diagnosed with MS and looking for a third opinion, I had really high hopes after hearing great things about Dr. Singer. Unfortunately, I left feeling a little disappointed. I think he strives to be on time with his patients, which is a double edge sword because I loved that I had a quick wait time, but I felt very rushed for this being my first evaluation. He seemed to brush over his questions with me and didn't seem all that interested in my response or symptoms. He just wanted to quickly get to his recommendations of medication. I also was really hoping to find a neurologist who is more supporitve of natural and holistic methods, he certainly supports a healthy lifestyle, but other than this, he seemed to care less about what supplements I wanted to take. He does not support anything outside of the box or that may be considered experimental for MS. I was quickly rushed out of my appt at the end, so the whole thing just ended abruptly and I don't expect any… follow up unless I seek this out. And yes, it is true, that so far when I call, I can never get a live person on the phone. I have left msgs and it took several days for a return call. When I finally got one though, I was impressed with how quickly and easy it was to schedule, that was another plus. I don't know, I may keep shopping. This disease is lifelong, so it is important to have someone who you feel really cares, listens and supports their patients and so far, I just didn't really feel this from him. I'm hoping that maybe the next visit will be better.
