Dr. Bassam Odatalla, MD

I made an appointment with this office because my regular doctor was on vacation. I was in terrible pain and needed to see a doctor asap. Appointment was easily made. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly, kind in assisting me with completing all paperwork. Didn’t have to wait long before being seen by doctor. He reviewed my medical history and asked me many questions to get a better understanding of my issue. Dr. Odatalla diagnosed me accurately and prescribed some medication that helped immediately. I never had such a smooth trip to the dr. Now I take my entire family. Highly recommend.

Went to see Dr Odatalla after some joint pain. His bedside manner was great, caring and compassionate. He took the time to assess several joints even though they did not bother me. The diagnosis was that I had carpal tunnel and arthritis. He went over different methods of treatment and allowed me to decide how to proceed. I was given a cortisol shot but was informed by him that it was only a short term fix. He referred me to a specialist. I've been his patient for the last 6 years and strongly recommend him.

My family is fortunate our senior mother is still alive! Because the results of a simple blood test and urinalysis were not given (it took almost two weeks) after calls to the office to follow up......a 911 call was necessary. A bladder infection spread to the blood and she was hospitalized. The prescribed medication was sent to the wrong pharmacy and after a now ailing patient was not medicated in a timely manner, the infection spread. This is not the first time physician follow up caused her to be hospitalized. Stay away! Poor follow up and diagnosis almost caused a tradgedy for our family. Focus seems to be lacking. Answering service consistently is BUSY!

I had a HORRIBLE experience! I went to Dr. Odatalla for chest pain, (pregnant but unrelated); he made me take off my shirt AND bra to simply listen to my lungs?! I felt totally uncomfortable and violated. There was NO need to ever have taken anything off. After he listened to my lungs, and felt the areas around my breasts (?) he quickly dismissed me and told me I was "fine". There is a HUGE difference between breast tenderness, and lung pain. I am horrified. Girls stay away!

Dr. Odatalla had a professional demeanor beyond his youth. I've taken three of my children to see him for various ailments and I have to admit, I myself had an illness he dealt with courteously and with a sympathetic nature I haven't felt in a long time. He listened to my concerns as well as understood my trepidations and dealt with me honestly. When I call in I generally find an opening on the same day for him to see a child when they're feeling unwell. We vary in ages, early 40's to 8 years old and it's a pleasure to find one doctor who can treat us as a family. From myself, my children and my family as a whole, we commend Dr. Odatalla and highly recommend him to all our family, friends and neighbors.

Dr. Odatalla is an excellent care giver with the greatest bed side manner. Takes his time to listen and asks questions based on what you've told him. He compassionate and caring. Genuinely cares about our overall well being. I would definitely recommend Dr. Odatalla. I trust him completely with the healthcare of my whole family.

I switched to Dr. Odatalla because my previous doctor was retiring. Now let me tell you.. I have NEVER had such a stressful time dealing with a doctor. Everytime I need a refill called in I have to call about 5 or more times a day to finally get it called over. Once I was having an issue with medication and I called at 4:00pm on a Wednesday. I was told to wait on hold because he was "on the other line" from there the receptionist picked up the phone claiming "he'll call you right back". About 40 minutes later and still not getting this "call back" I called again. I was told oh he's in an appointment. I waited another 40 minutes and was told he knew to call me before he went home. By 7:00pm I was officially angry. I called again to get the answering service. To say the least.. This doctor is terrible. I see all these amazing reviews but aadly I do not see it. I am beyond annoyed and honestly do not feel that he took up this profession for "helping people" Think twice before… switching truthfully.

For years I was having constant leg pain and occasional flaring pain in my back and arms. It all started when I was 17 and I have been in and out of doctors offices. Neurologists, MS Specialists, General Practitioners. I have had so many tests done, I've been stuck with huge needles and everything. I was tired of my old doctor acting like I was looking for drugs, so I decided to switch. I was recommended to Dr. Odatalla by my cousin and when I gave him a folder full of blood test results, MRI Scans, and EMR Test results he asked why I wasn't tested for the more common things that could cause my symptoms. Also he pointed out that the tests that I had gotten were so much more expensive than ones I could have had from the beginning. He listed to me describe what I was going through and he asked if I had ever been treated for nerve damage. It was never even brought up to me by any other doctor. He had me try Lyrica to see if it helped me out, long behold my leg pain disappeared and I could… function again. It was amazing, almost like I got a new start. I really wish I had met him when I was 17 and not when I was 27. I could have saved a ton of money and not to mention I wouldn't have been some kind of test experiment for all the other specialists I had seen.

Referred to his office by my dermatologist. He is young, kind, sincere and caring. Actually listened to me complain for 12 minutes and treated me with compassion. Great doctor, beautiful new office. Thanks again Dr. Odatalla.
