More about Dr. Benjamin B Betteridge

I was born here in Tacoma and spent my childhood here as well. After completing my medical training, I practiced emergency medicine and sports medicine in Salt Lake City for seven years. I returned to the Puget Sound to be near family. I am happily married to my college sweetheart, and we have four children and a Boxer. I decided to go into medicine because it combines two things I love: science and service. I_ve been the event and team physician for numerous organizations, and I have worked with the NBA, in IronMan triathlons, for college sports teams, and even at the Olympic speed skating trials. Joining the Washington Permanente Medical Group has given me the opportunity to collaborate with a team of excellent sports medicine providers and grow the Activity, Sport, and Exercise Medicine (ASEM) specialty service line here. In the future, ASEM will provide community outreach and service throughout Washington State.
