Find another md before wasting your time

Person who left prior review titled. “NO” got it right. He took every shred of hope my husband and I had with regard to my diagnosis! He wanted to immediately insert a port and have me begin chemotherapy with a chemotherapy group of his choice. When the office girl called to set up appointment for surgery to insert port, I told her I wanted to put the surgery on hold, and get a second opinion at Sloan-Kettering in NYC. Almost immediately, I received a call from Dr. Schwartz himself, asking “Why do I need to go

I am disappointed, Dr. Schwartz never spent time with me, arrogant, won't even let me complete my sentences. I wont even give him my dog.

Dr Swartz is a very caring doctor. Some times l think that he is a gifted human being, always care about details and also has a magnificent team. He saved my life, and stills taking devoted care of me after surgery

I needed to have a fibroid removed requiring a hysterectomy and wanted to keep my ovaries. I left a message at his office to call me. He called me back around 10pm and responded to my request by telling me that luckily there are many other doctors on Long Island and hung up on me. Just because I wanted to keep my healthy ovaries? I don't care what his reasons are. It's MY body. I found another doctor and kept my ovaries.

Terrible Dr. , misdiagnosed, no post surgery follow up. Find another DR quick!!!!

With limited, preliminary information this doctor was ready to cut me open, remove several parts and put me through "at least" 5 months of chemotherapy. The consultation with him was devastating for me and my family as he made every effort to chip away at every single bit of hope of positive outlook we tried to present to him. I immediately followed up with Sloan Kettering where the experience and my prognosis were DRASTICALLY different. I truly believe this doctor, who is in business for himself, is racking up clients and racking up bucks with his dramatic and inappropriate response to cancer. Shame on him. Shame on all of them there. They know. His waiting room, and whole operation, was a rapidly moving conveyor belt of very sick people and I wonder how many of them are this sick because of his 'treatment'? People newly diagnosed with cancer are at their most vulnerable and he preys upon that. I pray you read this and opt out of going to this doctor. You are likely on Long… Island? Make the extra effort to go to Sloan Kettering. Yes, the city is not convenient. This is your life. Please please make the right choice for yourself! Do whatever you have to do to get to Sloan. (Sloan has a facility in Commack NY too which is so nice and everyone there is truly kind and caring.) Even if not Sloan, choose another. Do not allow yourself to get misguided by this person.

Dr. Schwartz is a gifted, knowledgeable doctor and a superior surgeon. He performed a life-saving surgery that I was denied by another so-called specialist. Do not hesitate to call his office, you will be given excellent care and follow up. I cannot say enough good things about him and his practice -- no question -- he is the BEST!
