Obtained a referral from Dr. Gonzalez to see Dr. McAllister to obtain assistance for mental health treatment and counseling. I called to follow up because I had not heard from their office and I was told that Dr. McAlister declined my request to be a patient with no explanation and I have excellent insurance I find this very disturbing. I have been all over the Charlotte county area trying to get professional counseling and have been struggling to find it. There's waiting list everywhere or it's zoom and I just don't find telehealth to be personal and comfortable for counseling.. extremely disappointed

He has taken care of me for a decade. I am still stable after all these years. Thankful

I left messages with his answering service and he called me from his car phone and discuss my case went home looked at my file and called in a new prescription for me. This is on a Friday afternoon. He really cares about his patients.

I'm glad that I came here. After years of trying many different antidepressants without benefit, TMS has lifted my depression. It's amazing to feel this good. Super affordable. Friendly staff. Good doctor. I chose correctly in coming here.

This doctor is a scam does what he can to make more money off you and the people that work there are very unprofessional but what would you expect from someone from the streets of detroit

Seems to have zero interest in patients well being. Says, "I only do medications, not evaluations" Very dry, non-personable and comes across as very non-caring for someone who is seeking help.

Even after receiving the official HIPPA letter, return receipt, and waiting the required 30 days, even after requesting these records and treatment codes, absolutely nothing. They collected $300 per treatment, even after we provided all information as members of Fla Blue, refused to submit the claim, refused to provide the records for us to submit for ourselves. His office was referred by our prescribing Psychiatrist for the specific TMS treatments for depression. No diagnosis was requested or required. FL Blue reimburses at a rate of approx. $180 per treatment. After arriving at his own diagnosis, he flatly stated that FL Blue would not reimburse under his diagnosis code, and therefore the needed treatments would be $300 per treatment, with $1,500 in advance for the first 5 days, plus $450 initial visit/set up fee. FL Blue reimburses at approx. $280 for the initial visit. The steadfast refusal to even respond to our multiple requests for the records... now appears a clear violation of… the HIPPA act, violation of the terms and conditions as a FL Blue provider, and currently has $3,500 of our money and no ability to file a medical claim to seek reimbursement! The real capper to this tale , when my son, with the same medical referral-- called the next nearest provider, 40 miles away in Sarasota, in the FIRST TWO SENTENCES, the person answering the phone asked simply " do you need a diagnosis appointment, or just the treatments? " Bingo. he received 30 approved treatments (the full course recommended ) and they were fully approved and PAID by FL Blue at the agreed (contracted) rate of $180. All this from the same referral, and the same set of facts which we presented to McAllister from the beginning. We were referred for treatments only. Apparently the McAllister office saw a way to milk $300 out of each treatment, just because we were perceived as having the ability to pay, and the pressing need to begin treatments immediately.... I wish I could explain this some other way, but with absolutely no response from their office, I cannot think of any other explanation. SO WATCH YOUR WALLET, ONLY GO FORWARD WITH TREATMENTS APPROVED IN ADVANCE BY YOUR PROVIDER. IF YOU GIVE THEM YOUR OWN MONEY, GOOD LUCK GETTING IT BACK!

Dr. McAllister is really nice but does not run a professional office. He does not make sure his employees know how to or teach them to be able to do the necessary duties that are required for quality patient care. When brought to his attention nothing was done and still the same issues are happening.

In subsequent visits - I thought I would be seeing Dr McAllister - but ended up with short sessions with with an asst - who basically asked how I was doing and wrote a script ...not really bad but not what I expected ....still for me paying the co-pay seemed a little exorbitant for sometimes less than 15 mins time with the asst !!
