Dr. Bernard Francis Wittkamp, MD

I was referred to Dr. Wittkamp in the early 70's when I rather suddenly, had been feeling weak and tired, and suffering from joint pains. What he found out was that I had a very rare condition and his treatment, I believe was the reason for my recovery. There have been more that one occasion when I went to other Dr.s for an evaluation of a medical issue and given the wrong opinion and ended up seeing Dr. Wittkamp and viola, issue solved and once just talking to him over the phone and he said to come by and gave me a packet of 2 pills told me to call if no improvement. The next day my suffering was over. The cause, in his opinion, was a reaction to an unusually high dose of POLLEN(record year) from the huge Hemlock near front porch. I had gone to 2 new local 'Clinics'. The first ran various tests found nothing, sent a bill(large) but no recommended follow-up. When visiting the second I realized they were doing the same tests and mentioned that I had same tests at another Clinic and… was told that was their partner Clinic in the West End. I left before they did all the same tests and then received bill for all the same tests that the partner Clinic had already done even tests 2nd did not perform. Dr. Wittkamp is an old school Diagnostician, which I believe many family primary doctors seem to lack today. The skill to take time and listen to patients and ask questions about the issue. Dr. Wittkamp, in my opinion is a medical Guru.
