Dr. Beth Ann Overmoyer, MD

Due to Dr. Overmoyer, my sister's life was extended for many years. She is kind, smart and compassionate. No stone went unturned in the search for interventions to keep my sister in good health!

Dr. Overmoyers staff was not friendly. Waited a while to see doctor. Was informed couldn't bring in my service dog. Refused to even look at my documents to see my dog was a service dog not any kind of therapy dog. Recorded appointment and she contradicts herself. Telling patient you don't know if chemo even helped unless you live a long time I suppose is direct but that information would have been great to hear at diagnosis not a year later. She says in a video it's important to connect and care about the patient. I did not find this at all at her office. Rushed through appointment. Maybe off day but seriously. See another doctor.

Dr. Overmoyer and her team were great! She was friendly, funny and engaging and taught me things about my breasts I didn't know. I highly recommend her for any woman but specifically young women with a high risk of breast cancer.

I was floored at the treatment received at Dana-Farber (DF), an institution know worldwide. I called for an inquiry about cost and procedure for obtaining a 2nd opinion at DF. I was told a financial counselor would call; this never happened. Instead DF called and obtained all of my slides from my home hospital w/out my consent or permission. They sent them to Brigham&Women's where a report was created for which I am to be billed, all against my knowledge. It has been 5 days since I called DF and no one has returned my calls or emails, including Dr. Overmoyer whom I contacted directly over email, to explain the situation and confirm that she wasn't expecting me at an immediate appointment. Dr. Overmoyer states in an online video that making her patients feel comfortable is what is most important to her. A breast cancer diagnoses is indeed a scary thing; she has failed at that stated "goal" miserably, as has Dana-Farber as an institution. I felt violated that they obtained my tissues… without my permission and have since refused to even respond to my inquiries.
