Dr. Bindu L Gandhiraj has the following 2 specialties
A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. In some cases, a psychiatrist will only provide the medication and the counseling will be provided by another healthcare specialist, like a certified counselor or psychologist.
Like other doctors, psychiatrists employ diagnostic tools like CT scans and MRI in order to observe the structure and function of a patient's brain.
Once a diagnosis is made, these specialists may use behavior or cognitive therapy in order to address the patient's condition, or a multitude of other types of therapy, in conjunction with or in place of medication.
A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.

Dr. Gandhi's is the best she's very understanding very caring she is there and when I need her to call me back she does and I have no problem with the staff they're very helpful to when I call thay know exactly who I am right off the bat before I say my name that makes me feel so wonderful and I know everyone there cares I think they should be more offices like hers she is the best
Dr. Gandhiraj has a kind and gentle demeanor and based on her facial expressions, she appears to be listening and concerned. I probably would have felt more comfortable if I wasn't seeing her in a clinical setting (sterile exam room shared by GPs and Pediatrics). She spent most of the time typing notes in her computer. I am not sure she prescribed the right dose of medication, though. I asked her if it was safe to add another medication to the full dose I'm already taking of the first, because it seemed like a lot. She assured me it was fine, but I still didn't feel right about it. So, I opted to decrease my original med by 1/2 and add the new med with it. So far it has been very effective. I think if I had done what she suggested I would have been overmedicated. But I can't blame her for that. That's what Psychiatrists do. They talk to you for 15 minutes write you a Rx and basically let you figure out if it's right for you. I've never liked that. The Psychologists and Therapists should be the ones to write the Rx because they're the ones that actually get to know you.
Dr. Bindu L. Gandhiraj shouldn't be practicing medicine. She doesn't seem to have a clear understanding of the effects of the medications she is prescribing. I would not recommend this doctor as she affected my health in a detrimental way, didn't explain her actions and left me worse off to figure out why I received such horrible treatment.
