Dr. Bing Liu, MD

I was a patient of Dr Liu for two years before being dropped as a patient without notice (likely due to Hawethorn mismanagement & I doubt Dr Liu had anything to do with it, but who knows). I only saw her twice, but that was enough for me to realize she's not a Dr I'd choose given other options (she was the ONLY Dr accepting new patients at the time). My experience with Dr Liu was a few years ago (2012-2014), but unless her grasp of the English language has improved substantially since then, I feel Dr Liu needs to go back to school & learn how to properly speak & understand English. I have no idea if her medical training in China back in 1985 was/is adequate &/or up to the standards a Doctor has to meet at a medical school in the USA... but I do know Dr Liu gave me the impression she probably doesn't understand English well - I certainly didn't understand her very well. I recommend researching where & when a prospective Doctor attended medical school... & how long he/she has lived in… America before choosing him/her, or allowing yourself to be assigned to him/her. Anyone practicing medicine in the US should speak, read & understand English PERFECTLY - otherwise how can you have faith they are proficient in their field? What if they misinterpret something a patient says & prescribe something incorrectly, or doesn't understand a warning on their computer for a dangerous drug interaction? Are medical practices going the way of the DMV, giving drivers license testing in multiple languages (while all our street signage is in English)? As an aside; I've found the wait times uneasonable (usually completely outrageous) at nearly every Dr appointment I've ever been to - worsening over the last twenty years.... with several purely blatant occurances of patient over booking that United Airlines wouldn't dare to try lest a riot break out. My worst experiences have been at pediatric practices --- how can you "do no harm" by making young children sit & wait for an hour?!! Shame on all physicians that over book &/or subject patients (irrespective of age) to wait times exceeding 15 minutes.... including the sneaky second wait in the exam room! If a person shows up ontime for an appointment, they should be seen promptly - making a person sit & wait for 30-45 or more minutes is incredibly inconsiderate & disrespectful. Shame on all medical practices for the contempt they show people who are there in need of health care - they treat us like cattle! All you sheep need to speak up & complain.... then take the time to render an appropriate review online. Dr's will stop wasting our time once some light is shined on how they put dollars ahead of the Hippocratic Oath & disregard the value of people's time.

I saw this doctor for two years. I am not what you would call an "average" patient as I have had quite a lot of health problems my whole life. I am a person who really knows their stuff and take charge with my health care. This woman would not even sit and talk for 5 minutes for my yearly so I could discuss some extreme symptoms that I was having and instead very angrilly said she would run the test I wanted but as soon as I left changed her mind and had her secretary tell me she saw no reason to run the test. Of course you didn't know the reasons, you would talk to me!!!

Just does the job on paper. No compassion for patients. Yelled and scolded me like a child. There is better out there.

I won't trust my health to anyone else!

Overall it was a nice experience. Dr. Liu was an excellent dentist and his office staff was nice.
