Dr. Babak Etemad, MD

Dr Etemad is an angel on earth. He performed surgery on me and a week later when I came back to the hospital (unrelated to the surgery) he came right into my room to check on me. Not only is he highly skilled at what he does, he’s kind, patient and the most caring doctor I have ever met.

I went through a year of total discomfort. I had two organs trimmed and one removed but still experienced problems. I lost 100 lbs. One visit to Dr. Etemad's office and I was back on track. Two weeks later Dr. Etemad operated and in one month I was gaining weight and getting my strength back. Fives months later I was in my canoe paddling Lowes Lake in the Adirondacks. If I could hug him I would. Thank you for sharing your gift.

Dr Bob Etemad saved our 89 year old mother’s life! His compassionate, outstanding medical and surgical care finally relieved many years of abdominal pain caused by 2 gall stones in bile duct that never showed up in ultrasounds. He is an exceptional physician!!

My mother was frail from cancer and had low blood pressure before and after stent surgery. She died the next day. This guy should lose his license.

I was treated by Dr. Etemad in 2003 and 2004 for pancreatitis caused by pancreas divisum when he was practicing at Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans. He was able to diagnose me when 2 other doctors had not been able to, and he remedied the problem. I am sorry to see that he is not in New Orleans any longer.

My husband was diagnosed with esophageal Cancer . Dr Bob did his upper endoscopy both pre and post esophogectomy. He took much time with us throughout this time both in the office and via e-mail. I have been a nurse for >35 years and I have never met such a kind and caring physician. We feel very blessed to have had Dr Etemad on our team!!

He is very easy to communicate with and a wonderful person. He spoke to me and not AT me. I recommend him to anyone.

He loves what he does and he takes alot of time explaining things. Took care of a friend with cancer too. He really cares.

I needed an internal ultrasound (EUS) and a ERCP. I was referred to Dr. Etemad by my gastroenterologist for a bile duct problem. He was great at explaining things and he took care of the problem. His assistant, Jackie, was fantastic. He does seem to get behind in the office, but he spends extra time explaining things.
